SITE SANTA FE collaborates with the Keeping Independent Visions Alive (KIVA) program to develop important life skills through art.
Following a field trip to SITE SANTA FE, participating students learn how artists communicate through their work, discuss their own stories and interests, and come up with a group project to express themselves through art. Following a project-based learning model, KIVA students work with a SITE SANTA FE staff member on art projects, practicing problem-solving and critical thinking, working collaboratively, and teaching each other new skills.
In 2024, KIVA students worked with SITE SANTA FE Creativity & Learning staff to plan a Dog Day pop-up as part of the Santa Fe Railyard Park's Annual Earth Day celebration.
