Question everytime I Connect my Rover to base and go ahead and recheck my calibration I notice that my horizontal and vertical is fine on point but my elevation is off by 1 inch how can I fix that?
Well when you say your horizontal and vertical are good when you check on a control point, you mean you check fine then. If you feel like your job is off 1 inch then that may be from the original job calibration then. You could just tell your base station it is either one inch higher or lower to take the vertical out or change your rod height an inch. Not sure exactly where you are seeing the inch if you check in ok.
Its never wrong to measure with a different height than 0 if that is a process you want to use. When I use a fixed pole of any type like a fence post, or a mounted pole I always measure at 0 because there is not control point down below or associated point on the ground to say that the receiver is off the ground from that point. For example, when you do have to set the base up on a tripod and the tripod is setting on a know point like a control point then yes you need to know how hi the the base is setting up above that known point with elevation or the site will be off that difference. Its all about consistency, so hopefully this helps.

no problem. It may take a bit because I am creating these videos as I get time outside of our usual duties of around here and our own customer needs. I have only been making these for about 5 months and do plan to make many many more. @@mrcupcakeman32
