Hey Rory, that would be a fun topic! In quick summary though, the only field hunting I do is in a layout blind, so you could wear neon orange and still be concealed. I may try some panel blind / A-frame hunting later this year though, but the timber would still look good in the shadows of the panel blind/A-frame. Also hunting deer in a tree the timber is a much better choice than marsh. Plus I just think the timber looks better 😅

For sure! This is by far one of my favorite pieces that I picked up! Its super warm!! I would say a lot of the mask fit depends on if you get the right size for your build. The mask in my opinion is fantastic! Because its stitched to the hood it moves really well with your head. It's tight enough on my face that it would take a lot to pull down but still comfortable. The only downside is that because its stitched to the hood it doesn't work well if you are not wearing the hood.

I agree the fleece would be a nice touch but can’t imagine wanting to use the pockets with gloves on. In my mind it’s for keeping chilly digits warm and dry. Gloves would do that on their own.

Hey sorry for the delay! Early season deer and turkey works great! I've learned it's more about movement and less about patterns. Keep movements minimal and you'll be good to go!

If I got per say the duck oven in Xl would I still be able to wear a hoodie underneath? I’m same height and weight.

It does! The sleeves could be a tad longer for me though… Tough to use the thumb loops comfortably with my longer arms…

Hey Josh, I would think about how much you are going to layer. If you hate the cold and really need to bundle up I would probably go large or if you’re like me and don’t mind the cold and don’t plan on layering a ton go medium. In my opinion the size difference from large to extra-large was very significant, however on me, if the large was any smaller it would not work. I felt like the extra-large had too much fabric bundling up and might have snagged on stock of my shotgun and I did not want to deal with that in the field. I put my measurements and size in the video so you can compare to your size. Honestly I would just buy one and see how it fits and if you change your mind call them and return it, the return process was super easy. I would also recommend calling Sitka and asking what they recommend based on how you plan on using it, the customer service team is phenomenal. Regardless keep me posted on what you decide and how it fits! Cheers

From Field to Table I’m like you. I love the cold weather. We don’t get super cold weather here in the south east but it can bottom out every once in a while. The delta wading jacket and the duck oven jacket are the two I’m planning on running with for this season. Hopefully mediums fit me.

I considered the duck oven but went with the gradient hoody for the hood and not quite as warm looking. But it’s still a beast! We will see how this season goes and find out if warmer layers are necessary.

Sorry to hear that Cam. I would cut them some slack. These are some odd times we are living in right now and I have no idea what their office situation looks like, if they are working remote like most of the world. I I can speak for is my personal experience which has been positive.

@@camb2244 hey it’s just due to COVID because before all of this they have always had great customer service it was amazing they would do anything to help you and find your probables. I’m sure they just lost some workers due to this so I would say they will get with you soon I have never had a problem with them.
