As a Swiftie I can say that going into this I thought this Dan "Big Cat" Katz character was a disgusting immature oaf. After this interview I can now see that he is a handsome, slim and hilarious person. I am blown away, I didn't foresee myself coming out of this as a Dan "Big Cat" Katz fan but here we are.

I think it's ok to make a joke. I also think it's ok to acknowledge that not everyone will find that joke funny, and that doesn't make them wrong or "too serious". Not finding crass humour that sexualises women funny is valid, the history major in me has to point out that we're not at the equality point in feminism where it's "but men get joked about too" when things like the #metoo movement happened less than a decade ago. BUT that said, big cat seems like a cool dude with a good sense of humour who really meant no harm, and the internet likes to take things from 0 to 1000000 without any nuance or grey area.
If Taylor came up to you saying she didn’t like what you said and you can just respond “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have made such a poor joke” you have too big an ego
