The boardroom scene was better but still an interesting scene. Shazam might be one of the few movies that did reshoots and still managed to make the movie work.

I like the contrast: Everyone else is in white, while Sivana is wearing black.

Moral of the story: Never go to parties of ppl who ignore their kids.

Honestly the combination of this scene and the actual scene would’ve been the perfect scene. He comes back home on Christmas to release the sins and let them feast upon his family. Maybe his dad could be dying from his wounds to listen to the speech he gives at the end

Lesson learned: Never ever neglect your son.

Imagine how awkward it would be if the 8 Ball said he could outrun Sivana

I like the boardroom scene better, but there's a few things I like better about this one. Namely, the revelation of "the wizard finding a champion" feels a little less abrupt.

I think I like this scene more than the actual one. It show how psychotic and unhinged Thaddeus has become, and makes him a more terrifying and interesting villain.

Ooooh see now....this is tricky On the one hand the original scene has better actors for the father and Sid. And i really did love the spontaneous erratic part where Thaddeus tossed Sid out of the window and the sins came out and ate everybody and the yelling on the misty doors and the father scene where he was devoured by Greed..... plus the part in the elevator was pretty cool. But here we get a much better payoff for Sid. and the part where the doorman is like FTSIO! And where Thad reveals that he was never truly accepted in the family. Plus i like how the Sins appear in his reflection instead of out in the open.

Doctor Sivana went from being your stereotypical mad scientist to a man disgusted by his weakness and so became the modern equivalent of the evil sorcerer archetype (which fits better with Shazam powers being made of magic).

Dr Sivana is one of my favourite villains from Shazam!!

I can see why they decided to go with the office scene instead of this one. - First, we already saw the scientist turn to dust which already reveals that kind of power. Using this is isn’t as interesting as the sins because of that. - Second, the office scene allowed to better reveal the seven deadly sins and what power they endure. Without it, we wouldn’t truly understand how powerful Dr. Sivana is. - Third, this scene didn’t really fit the tone of the scene before and after this one. Before, we see Darla, Billy, and Freddy going to bed and literally says “goodnight,” helping end of the scene and setting. And after, they cut to the school scene where the truck disappears which wouldn’t be a good scene to cut to for the next day without the office scene.

While the boardroom was pretty frightening, this makes Tiny Tim's classic line sound scary.

I just realized the chilling significance of Sivana quoting Tiny Tim. It's a sense that back in the prologue, he was once like Tiny Tim. But now, after years spent with his toxic family, he's become as cold and empty as Scrooge, speaking with the ghosts of his past

They threat him like trash when he was a kid, so they got drowned on their own mistakes later on.

They might of got rid of this scene to keep the movie pg-13, just my theory anyways

I think this is the reason why the first film was better than the second film, but liked it anyways, despite the fact that this wasn't used in the first film. The first film had scenes that were dark and at times scary, which contrast with the comedy. They create a sense of stakes and threat to the protagonist. Had vaguely occult horror element at times. I wonder if executive meddling affected how the second film style was different.

Sivana correctly tells Sid the outlook from the 8 ball before he dies. One last bit of dark humor with a punchline. In the boardroom scene that makes the cut, he throws him out the window before he reads the 8 ball, which is pointless.

I prefer the final scenes, his family was "too nice" in the table scene and that makes Dr. Sivana more vindictive, less sympathetic. But his father and brother were much more obnoxius in the car scene, making you feel less bad for them and understand better Sivana's lust for power.

Dr. Sivana is one sad and pathetic man. Seeing his origin changed so many times, he must feel really sad for the bad life he had to deal with.

Dr. Sivana is such a great villian that he is what Lex Luthor should've been. Mark Strong would've played a great Lex Luthor if the writers thought it up. He was just that great.

Personally I liked the boardroom killing more than this one! The boardroom felt far more personal (the conversation) while this felt more too random for my liking. Sure he got his reasons to kill but it feel hollow without the father talking back and eyeah, I prefered the actor playing Sid and his father than the one seen in the deleted scene!

I like the original boardroom scene better. That one had more interaction with his brother and father. I also heard he initially had a mother and two sisters who were just as abusive, so this is lessened in that we also didn't really get to see them here. Plus, using the Sins themselves just looked better.

The only think I don’t like is how the sins don’t really look like the sins they represent Sure gluttony is fat wow so creative but A fat thing with a black void in its stomach wouldve looked better, Pride with golden armor from a knight, Greed with a rings in every finger and a lot if jewelry, Lust with a demonic look but a mask that looks human, Envy with faces screaming on its body, Sloth as a slime or something slow and sad and Wrath looks fine tbh
