Sviga is ... such a weird company to me. They basically took a bunch of off-the-shelf alibaba/ specials; rebranded them a bit -maybe even did some actual QC on them- and somehow, turned that into a thriving, and expanding, audio company that is actually - quite good. I started off with their SV007's and really, really liked them at $90; and the SV006, despite being a weird block shape - where a good treble emphasised headphone (not that I like them, but my dad did.) Now, I Haven't really gotten much further into their product stack than that (and that was years ago.) but it seems like they are ... somewhat committed to being a good decent-grade audio company. I would put them below Sennheiser most of the time (except at the $100 price point where they killed it with the SV007.) Also, I like wood. But they still have a company name that sounds like a venereal disease...
Soundstage deeper on sivga or akg371 shure 840? And details. Vocal is not hide behind base? I want around monitor sound but more live then monitor. Detailed but not boring sound
I just noticed something in Hiby app I haven't noticed before. When I play a DSD file through just phone's 3.5mm jack, EQ does apply to It. When I play It through hip DAC, It does not. Can anyone explain why that happens?
Hmm, based on what you said about the Oriole's sound signature, I presume that it will sound similar to the MS2 earphones. Would I be right in expecting such a sound? I quite like the sound of the MS2 and I might be interested in the Oriole if it sound similar.
Thanks. I have the Robin's AKA SV021 Classic as an inexpensive entry into closed backs. 1) would you say these are a step up from them? 2) I cannot find inside ear well dimensions. Again, if you have the SV021's handy, are the openings at least as large? (I've got large ears.) Thanks. Enjoyed your comments.
on my way to buy a pair of closed back cans for commuting and office listening. so, don't know which ones to buy: Oriole or DT 700 Pro X. In the Netherlands the price for both are the same: 250 euros. Which one would you advice? my preferences in music is mostly classic rock (pink floyd, scorpions, rush), some metal (iron maiden, tool), jazz, classic, hans zimmer/djawadi, etc.
Any headphone is theoretically capable of presenting pleasant sound signature for your music. The Oriole is a very good headphone in its own right, but my personal preference would be for the 700 Pro for general use. I think its bass response is a bit more fun, while not accentuating treble.
I use he4xx as my main headphone and I find it super heavy, I like the sound. Will the Oriole be an upgrade to the sound beside the lighter and sturdier build? Thanks.
Damn I really wanted these headphones but I don´t tolerate sibilance, Would you say that the emphasis of the robins it's that intruding into the music, or still enjoyable?
@@NoThemeReviews So, you thought hd800s worths the price and so you got It? It's pity hd820 doesn't have enough clamping force. That takes of the bass and breaks the shield too. I think Sennheiser should have fix that issue until now. Maybe would make the headphones more interesting as well.
No way. Anker has the best affordable, full featured bt headphone, and Sony has the one with the best noise cancellation. The Bathtub is audiophile stupidity writ large.
@@NoThemeReviews Bathtub...lol.I hope that name becomes a thing. Yea, for walk around use at home I use an anker q35, probably the best 110 bucks I ever spent.
There is no difference in sound between balanced and single-ended. The only alteration is power output. Some audiophiles claim that balanced output "sounds" better--that's simply not true.
@@NoThemeReviews thank you. I have the moonriver and was wondering if it would be worth to get a balanced cable for my iems. But in this case I may better safe the money😅
@@rbsorg did you checked with the same sound level? :) I doubt you will hear any differences. even if you will, that the implementation in that device is trash
Frequency response measurements should be left to those who have accurate measurement rigs. Those cost a lot of money. And to do a proper measurement, you have to devote a lot of time and care. I have no desire to spend several thousand dollars on a measurement rig, particularly since I do not earn enough money from my channel to justify that cost. Reach out to the handful of audiophiles who specialize in measuring.
@dim2808 those of you who rely on graphs always refuse to acknowledge that graphs alone never provide a complete picture of the sound signature-and are often misleading. But, once again, if you want graphs then go to those select places where people have the correct equipment and time to make them.
Can anyone recommend some good replacement ear pads, the original ones have started to wear and peel after less than a year, and I haven’t been rough or used these in any challenging environments like a gym or moving about outside in adverse weather, just at home. Thx in advance for any recommendations. Regards 😊 Oh, and by-the-by, bang for the buck, they ARE a great sounding set of headphones for the price point and definitely provide great audio performance matching some higher priced headphones.
