Imagine invading a country, losing badly, invading again, losing badly, invading again, losing badly, and then you try to play victim.

'Egypt didn't want war, so they took a bunch of aggressive actions...' doesn't make a lot of sense. They wanted to beat up Israel and they lost.

Fun fact: While Israel jets were busy destroying the Egyptian airforce, egyptians were celebrating in the streets shouting 'death to all the jews' because their media told them that the Israelis were almost destroyed by them and that their bombers and artillery were bombing Israel cities. According to the news Israel had already lost 80% of their strength while the truth was that egypt airforce was bombed out of existence. So sad.

Even in these very biased videos, it’s really, really hard to take the Arabs side.

As one Egyptian Officer was quoted saying; ''We were trained to march in Cairo whilst the Israelis were trained to battle.''

Arabs crying in the comments are the funniest things ever.

So the Arab countries just decided to abandon their territories for no reason even though their armies were superior and no fighting actually took place, and never knew war was a possibility despite Israel saying closing the strait would mean war and Nasser anticipating that with defensive maneuvers 🙄

This is what happens when one side is fighting for pride and the other is fighting to exist.

Why would Israel give up the territory it gained during the 6-day war especially the Golan Heights? It was a war that Israel did not want in the first place but was forced to fight because of Arab hubris and hatred.

Attack a country, lose in humiliating fashion, and brand yourselves as the victims. 😂

“’For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land"

2:01 also incorrect, Israel offered to return all military gains in exchange for recognition and peace. All Arab countries rejected this offer

After the war, Nasser complained that it was an unfair fight. "They have 2 million Jews - and we don't have any!"😭😭😭😭

This 'balanced' documentary leaves out a lot of pertinent information detrimental to the Arab cause. There is no mention made of the Arab promise to kill every Jew. Syrian interference in trying to divert the Jordan River is not mentioned. Israel's statement or promise that closing the Straits of Tiran would be seen as an act of war.

Why does this sound so one-sided? I truly don't know this story but the reporting tone seems to paint the entire Arab nation as docile and peaceful with Israel being the only aggressor. Sounds prejudicial. I want to hear accurate information about the unvarnished actions of both sides. Who amasses 130,000 soldiers to a war front with no intention to fight?

fascinating how the terminology is so flexible (minute 6:44): "Israel occupies Palestine" but "East Jerusalem and the West Bank are administered by Jordan" and "Gaza is administered by Egypt". Why not "West Bank occupied by Jordan" and "Gaza occupied by Egypt" ?? Bottom line - there never was a State of Palestine.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but if a powerful adversary threatens to push you into the sea, you need to do what is necessary to prevent it.

I was 17 years old,my Mother was overjoyed with Israel taking back Jerusalem in those 7 days. She praise GOD and said my generation would see the return of Christ.

Sun Tzu once said 'know your enemies and know yourself, you will win in 100 battles". Unfortunately for the Egypts leaders, they only know themself but not their enemies completely. Because of that, the Arabs,Egypt especially, were defeated in their own game.

As a PhD Historian, with absolutely no connections to either Israel or Palestine except friends on both sides, I have to say I haven't seen bigger SiFi then this "documentary"

Leonid brezhnev commented on the Arab bloc from the war of 1967 to 1973 as follows: "We gave them (Arab) the most sensitive equipment but they wanted to fight so we gave them twice as much tanks and armor, 3 times more artillery and even 2 times more air defense systems with anti-tank weapons. Equipped with more teeth than Vietnam, but when they lose they get angry and curse that we can't help them. Sadat also had to call and ask us to send troops to help them. We said no to them they said we were traitors.

Israel defeated three Arab armies, gained territory four times its original size, and became the preeminent military power in the region. All within 6 days 🫡

So, this whole documentary is that Israel’s enemies would have won except that all of them fell victim to a surprise attack and then a Dolchstoss in each of their countries lol. What about 1973, when they planned together and attacked first? Just took Israel a little longer, and resulted in an even bigger victory.

It is not secret who sponsors this channel. But twisting history and facts in a sea of evidence and records is another level. People can just believe everything just like that is yet another miracle in itself.

In Croatia, we studied a lot about the battles of little Israel and the Arao neighbors. When, in the fifth year of the war of liberation against the rebel Serbs and the supporters of the JNA (Yugoslav People's Army), we decided to deliver a decisive blow in the summer of 1995, we also had a pair of MIG21 planes that in the first minute of the attack disabled the repeater, cut their connections, destroyed the command posts and thus made it easier for us infantry, easier penetration and liberation of the land that was stolen from us. The operation lasted 8 days and we liberated 1/4 of Croatia and Western Bosnia as agreed with the Bosnian leadership. All this in just 8 days that the world gave us. ARABS ADMITTING TERRIBLE DEFEAT 👇🏿

Not a word about the intensive and inflammatory Arab propaganda campaign in the months preceding the war, the constant threats of annihilation of Israel and of throwing the Jews off to the sea. Not a word about Nasser closing of Tiran straits, which he knew to be a casus belli for Israel. On the other hand, not a word about the 70,000 Egyptian soldiers stuck on the quagmire of the Yemen war, which the Egyptians could not use against Israel. I'm not sure about the description of this war as a "non-war", or a goose chase. Israel had 776 killed and 4500 wounded, for a very small population.

And that, my friends, is how to tell a story while having an obvious agenda and bias. I get it that you don’t like Israel, but at least tell the full story and don’t omit crucial facts, as well as ignore or barely touch on some of the actions the Arab countries took in the war.

The fact that there was no palestinian state in the west bank and east jerusalem when the arabs had these territories raises a lot of questions about the modern demands of the arab world to establish a palestinian state there, and not before they lost it in their war of aggression.

For Arabs it was about ego, politics and shit but for Israel it was about survival, u can never blame for them to be so prepared. They were not ready to play victim card or go refugee mode... they wanted to survive and prosper and so did they. For that everyone should salute them and learn from them too.

Am surprised that Al Jazeera could make a documentary like this. Am beginning to to shift my perspective gradually.

This thing has a real bias against Israel. The fact that the Jordanian jets failed to effectively destroy anything (@ 30:58) wasn't an Israeli 'pretext' to widen the scope of the war, it was a response to an attack by Jordan. Furthermore, the fact that Israel also attacked targets in Syria and Iraq at the same time was the result of the fact that all these Arab countries had publicly stated the fact that they were gonna 'wipe Israel of the map together' many, many times.

Like Moshe Dayan said afterwards, "Israel's greatest asset was that we were fighting Arabs."

The Golan were a present to Israel from Assad, Jerusalem was a present from King Husain and the Sinai was a present from Nasser! Thank you!

I heared some biased ideas, but then I saw that I was hearing Al Jazeera.

The comment at 30:51 is perhaps the best example of the pro-Arab and anti-Israel bias of this documentary. Speaking of air attacks launched by Jordan, Syria and Iraq against Israel, the narrator says, "Ineffective though they were, those attacks gave the Israelis a pretext to widen the scope of the war." When a nation is attacked by other nations, it doesn't need a "pretext" to defend itself. It has every right to strike back and to destroy the means of its attackers to attack it again, even though this will inevitably "widen the war." Israel's Arab neighbors tried three times to destroy it and were defeated each time. Let us hope that they have finally learned their lesson.

Hate or love ISRAEL, you can't deny her intelligence... I use to steer at the map of Israel and wonder how such a little tiny nation surrounded by enemies still stand strong & tall amongst her enemies, but I realize God is with the Nation Of Israel, and God has given them extreme intelligence & that's what I respect and admire about this state 🇮🇱

It wasn't arrogance on the part of Israelis, but the arrogance of the Arabs with their “three no’s of Khartoum”. The Arabs rejected peace until after the 1973 war when Sadat agreed to talk peace with Israel. Interesting that even those who should have known the truth are mistaken on these points.

I've watched every single six day war documentary and find it interesting to see one made by the "losing" side. Fascinating differences in the information each one includes or omits, the way each one frames things, how they word things, the music they use, the images they choose to show on screen. Personally I still prefer "Six Days in June" for its 'attempt' to show a more balanced view, but I find it fascinating to finally watch a documentary about this slanted firmly in the other direction than the one we're used to hear about this war from. Fascinating.

"Israel launched an all-out war against its neighbors" is the same as saying "Poland invaded Germany 1st of September, 1939"

She failed to mention the three no's at the Arab League meeting post 6 day war. "no peace, no recognition and no negotiation". So who were the Israelis supposed to negotiate with?

⁉ Why do we always hear the term “Palestinians” or “Palestinian people”? The fact is that there has NEVER been a “Palestinian people” in history. When the State of Israel was founded in 1948, some of these people lived on the territory of today's State of Israel. When Israel was founded, there was never any talk of expelling these Arab residents of the new state. On the contrary: Anyone who declared their support for Israel was allowed to keep their land and also received all civil rights of the State of Israel. But in 1968, when President Nasser called on the Arab population to leave Israel as quickly as possible because he would raze this Jewish state to the ground, thousands fled to the surrounding countries. However, Nasser's promise vanished into thin air and the "refugees" lived somewhere and had lost their home (namely Israel). And now we Westerners are babbling about "the Palestinians" who have no rights and by that we mean the extremists who are hostile to the state of Israel and who have just proven again how peaceful they are...! Please open your eyes and ears and FINALLY get behind the history books...!

Many doesn't know 850,000 Jews thrown away from middle east during 1945 where they lived for many years ,but Jews did not claim them,all they want is to protect their homeland where Jews lived before 550 BC when " land of Judea "was named as "Palestine "by Roman.They have to partition this also and named as Israel.(Christianity originated only in 1 st century and ISLAM in seventh century )But this 2 state offer was refused by Arab NOT by Israel in 1945 when Israel formed.Palestine official state should work on preventing terror groups for the sake of innocent gaza civilians and for world peace.May God give peace to all.

You forgot to mention that Iraqi pilot was a Christian who was escaping persecution: he wasn’t a simple mercenary, he demanded his family to be safely escorted before he took off with his plane.

Ever wonder why Kaukgi, the high military commander of the Palestinian Arabs, is Not mentioned by Arabian history tellers ? I will tell you Why. He called all the Arab Palestinians to flee their homes because 5 Arab Armies were about to attack and promised them safe return to their homes after his victory over the Palestinian Jews.

This documentary downplays the enormous work the Israelis did to prepare for the war. And their heroism and technical skill in fighting the war. The documentary downplays the blood curdling threats of extermination from the Arab countries. This documentary ignores that Israel offered to return all of the captured territories for peace. This was rejected by the '3 No's' resolution from Khartoum: No negotiation with Israel, no recognition and no peace. This documentary is biased, ignores a lot of facts. Poor us. We lost the war after threatening Israel with total annihilation. But let's downplay the skill of Israel's soldiers and leaders.

Israelis made a huge error surrendering the captured territory gained in war back to their enemies in the hope of gaining peace.Some one should have read them the scriptures that states that,the Heart of man is full of evil and desperately wicked,meaning that man don’t know how to make peace.Peace Peace they cried,but there is no peace as it is now.

Imagine my shock that Al Jazeera would paint this in such a Pro-Arab way, almost as if they're taking lessons from MSNBC.

But for the US meddling and blackmailing the Israelis, the 6 day war would have ended the “Middle East Problem” if the Israelis had occupied Egypt and then sprung into Syria and occupied Syria, their presence would have altered the whole dynamic.
