@@Acrylic69 the idea was that they've all planned this whole thing out. It's a good backdrop to get people invested in their stories outside of Henry while also telling the audience that it's dumb to fight over who wins.
Everyone in this cast kills it, but i remember seeing this the first time right before opening night and Anna's Parr was and is still my favorite (though in truth there no one who is my least). She has such a presence on stage and when she sings it's so powerful, emotional and entrancing.
STORYTIME: Anna’s voice is so beautiful 😍 and she does such a good job with this song!! My voice teacher got to meet her at a meet and greet thing in our hometown and she said she was so sweet!! And then I went to Six and at the end the queens came out in their six t-shirts and it was Anna’s birthday and her family was there and they sang to her and then hugged her and took pictures with her. And I wanted to, too, but the security guard was like, “Unless you’re her family or friends, you can’t even touch her.” And Anna’s freaking voice teacher (we learned it was her voice teacher later) says, “Yeah. She’s Anna’s friend.” The security guard looked suspicious and walked away and we said thank you to her voice teacher who told us she was Anna’s voice teacher and I got to take a picture with Anna! And since I went to Broadway for my birthday, it turns out Anna and I have super close birthdays! I’m Nov 5th and she’s Nov 7th!

I LOVE the live recordings of the broadway cast. I love the UK recordings but they are so dramatic 😂 these are more sarcastic and that’s my vibe for sure.
It depends on your sources because anything to do with Henry’s wives is like walking into a room with 100 people arguing at once, but it is said that he sexually abused her to the point where Cathrine had to send her away. Some say it’s mutual, but I don’t think we will ever know. Catherine and Elizabeth did stay in touch after Elizabeth went away so I don’t think Catherine blamed her for anything.
