I built a 30 yrs ago AMD Athlon pc and it still runs perfect. I knew that heat was a big enemy I did everything to keep it cool with loud fan noise. And they said pc only last 5-10 yrs old. They need to have a retrofit kit for desktop.
Is it okay if I suggest you work with companies that make handheld retro/gaming devices. Loki, RoG, Anbernic, Nintendo, Retroid, Analogue, Steam Deck, and contact RU-vidrs who review these devices to promote your product, such as Macho Nacho Productions, Linus Tech Tips, Marques Brownlee, Austin Evans, and Retro Game Corps, just a few names, but yeah, I love your product, but people really need a way to see this through exposure. I really don’t want this to fade away it’s such an amazing technology!

They are gatekeeping this new tech too much, waiting for an offer from the big players, but those won't be willing to deal with the risks of early adoption. Imo you should just sell it to the public and build trust first.
They are already selling it. And it's hardly gate kept. This is a MEMS based air displacement device (actually an array of them), not radically different from the MEMS speaker devices which have recently been entering the market as a long delayed companion to the MEMS microphones which took over the smartphone world. This is still first gen tech that apparently has significant room for improvement. Apple may not bite today, but I could certainly see them biting for the 2nd or 3rd gen if perf/area can be doubled without exploding the power consumption. If they can quadruple perf/area then the market is theirs unless a competitor enters the fray with a better performing variant of the tech ahead of their own tech roadmap.
@@anothercriticThere was also that SSD enclosure manufacturer that announced a product, but so far hasn't shipped yet. At least Zotac is delivering. Perhaps when Frore comes out with a v2 with a higher thermal conductivity substrate than their current copper one, we'll see more industry adoption. I'm thinking it'll come to enterprise servers before it hits the consumer space, though. They're the segment that really cares about rack density.
I have held off on seriously looking for a laptop/computer upgrade because of this technology. I want and ultra thin gaming laptop that won't thermal throttle.
I have some questions. 1. Will this ever be implemented into desktop CPU cooling? 2. We know fans have bearings and those wear out so what is the life expectancy of these? And, is there degradation to the performance over the lifespan of this product? I absolutely think that this device needs to be on EVERY laptop right now and really hope that it happens someday. Great work to you and your team keep it up.
Honestly speaking I too was thinking about the longevity of this . I mean Wouldn't it result in eventually whining noises and may be damaging MOBO due to vibration? I hope to see this implemented in graphics cards and gaming laptop .they can do it but at the expense of battery drain in laptop . Using it to cool Nvidia GPUs making it thinner again would be nice .
They are trying hard to push manufacturing industry to adopt this but the process seems very slow... Meanwhile they should release it for consumer market as well with custom 3d printed low profile heatsinks and mount brackets... Customers will DIY the shit themselves on handheld gaming consoles or something like Framework laptop...😅😅
If Frore can manage to quadruple the perf/area of this tech we could see some serious shifts in PC form factor in the next decade or 2. Double that again to 8x the gen 1 perf/area and it would just kibosh fans completely from PC system design.
Any word if you might have coolers that can handle 25-30w or so? 10w works for cpus with efficiency only cores (N100 etc), but need a bit more cooling to cover the chips with performance cores in laptops and minipcs like the i5-1235u or similar. Or maybe could be combined with other larger heatsinks?
So another year of a "launched" product that you can't buy anywhere. It's ridiculous. Shame on you Fore. I guess it's just a scam product designed to milk money from investors.
