Great operations at a Six Flags Park? I can't believe my ears! Looks like a solid six flags park with a nice range of coasters.

Six Flags on a weekday is great. Less crowds, shorter lines, and much better operations than on weekends. Makes their parks much more enjoyable.

You have essentially perfected the genre of theme park vlog. Always love seeing them.

i went to this park in the 1980's when i was in the NAVY , i remember the eagle wooden coaster AND the whizzer which was closed on my visit , the park i see has really grown since then !! another outstanding vlog from your channel , the best theme park channel on youtube SECOND TO NONE , charlotte really adds to the charm of your channel , keep on ridin' , thanks so much!!!!!!!!

Hey Shawn and Charlotte, I’m glad that you were satisfied with the park’s operations! I’m a ride op at Batman (pretty sure I was off that day) and despite the low staffing we’re putting forth our best effort. Looking forward to the Mt. Olympus vlog, arguably the sketchiest park in the USA!

This trip is a very ambitious undertaking! I couldn’t do it, no matter how much fun. I’d be exhausted after just a few stops and this would feel too much like actual work after awhile. lol

Not sure how many people appreciate the hours you guys are putting in doing this. Yep there is the day, but you have to add in getting the shots you need, the reaction to the ride. Then you gett back stick everything on charge, connect everything to the laptop and edit it all together. That is putting in the hours when you are doing parks at this rate. Well done!

I love love LOVED hearing your comments about my home park! So fun to experience the park from first-timers' perspectives.❤ It's had it's ups and downs throughout the years (opened in 1976) but overall it's rich history keeps us in love with it. I'm really glad you had a great day! (I definitely want to visit Alton Towers one day!) 😁😃😍 P.S. I rode Little Dipper as a child and then with my kids when it was at Kiddieland! I was thrilled when I heard Six Flags acquired it and has preserved it. We ride it everytime we visit. 😅

I love the ride operators they all seem really fun and happy to be there, and definitely good at getting everyone hyped up for the ride !

During Halloween, the water in front of the carousel is dyed red with some theming inside, looks fantastic

the beauty of Six Flags Great America is that it is a home park to both Chicago and Milwaukee. It's a really underrated place for sure...lots of fantastic coasters! and it really has changed a lot since the days of going there as a kid the biggest disappointment though is that Condor is still closed!

So nice to see that Six Flags rescued the Little Dipper from destruction.

This was my original homepark. First coaster I ever rode was The Whizzer in 1987. Waited 2.5 hrs for batman when it first opened and rode Raging Bull when it opened too. Goliath is where Iron Wolf use to be and that was my first ever stand up experience. One correction, but Viper was built in house by Six Flags.

Their batman is the best, smoothest and most forceful with the best terrain in the chain. And raging bull, highly underrated in the coaster community, but very unique and it gets more praise from first time riders every year it seems! I love hearing about raging bull all these years later. Its twister layout reminds me of orion and fury, more than just the airtime hill-centric hypers. Operations have historically been great there with 2 trains ops on everything and 3 on raging bull ideally.

I worked at this park one college summer. Lots of fond memories, great operations, decent food and back then spectacular shows, lots of upcoming young actors and musicians from Chicago worked off season at Six Flags back then. ❤❤

This is my home park, really happy you guys enjoyed it. This is one of the best Six Flags parks out there but I feel it doesn’t get talked about enough. Hope you guys go back again if you ever do another USA trip

Raging bull is my 6th favourite coaster I've ridden. My 5th is Millennium force; my 4th is Behemoth; my 3rd is Diamondback; my 2nd is Fury 325 and my favourite is Steel Vengeance. Like Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure I managed to ride Raging Bull about 50 times in 3 hours without leaving the station as a single rider last year. I've only ridden Fury 325 and coaster at Playland more often than the 70-80 rides I got on either of those B&M hypers. Thanks for posting!

Great vlog, love Charlotte's views on attractions, adds a nice balance. Would love to see you rate all the SF parks soon as you nearly done them all now.

There's airtime on Raging Bull in places one wouldn't expect, like the next left dive after the 1st camelback (which I could feel airtime even in row 5) or the very last dip before turning up left into the break run. It also has one of the best drops on a coaster. It completely beat my expectations and is one of the better back seat rides on a B&M hypers.

This is my home six flags. This was where I fell in love with big coasters and looked forward to our annual trip with my free ticket for reading the required number of books

The Dark Knight Queue did used to be a small theatre, which explains the slope and why there is no AC. Maxx Force used to be home to their IMAX movie screen and Justice League was an amphitheatre. There's a small theatre behind camp cartoon and in the closed restaurant by go karts that are SBNO as well. The park was built by the Marriott hotel company, which loved to invest in theatre and the entertainment offerings and theming were a Disney-level draw. A bygone era.

I'm amazed that it looks like you got an uncrowded day! Great America is bliss when it's like that; usually it's crazy busy! At some point around 2013 or so, they stopped using the wheel covers for Batman. They feel it runs better without them. The American Eagle queue used to enter at Kidzopolis and after passing through a massive, mostly unused queue house, go straight up the stairs to the bridge: when they added Kidzopolis the queue became longer and weirder. The park had a twin Great America that opened the same year in California-now it's run by Cedar Fair, operates as California's Great America, and will close within the next decade. Not best park ever, but really fun to play the comparison game now that you've done this one! They both have the carousel, the Demon, etc.

The entrance looks like it needs some work. Relandscaping. And the ticket/gate towers used to be more ornate but have been simplified during rebuilds. Really happy to see the park getting love and attention overall.

I went here in 2021 and loved it. It may not have a destination coaster, but it has a great lineup from top to bottom. I know you love that all coasters have bins on the platform, so no lockers.

We visited this park just days apart!! I definitely agree that SFGA was well run, and the assortment of rides is very nice. Too bad you weren't able to experience the AQUAMAN Splashdown flume ride. I think you would have truly enjoyed it...well, you would have been soaked, to say the least! Thanks for sharing your experience!

FINALLY!! I have been watching this channel for years and at long last they have arrived at my home park. I wish I could magically bring back Shockwave, the Wild West Stunt Show, Space Shuttle America and Trailblazer...then they would have the FULL Six Flags Great America experience but it is still an incredible amusement park with a wonderfully diverse collection of roller coasters. I haven't even started the video yet but thank you guys for coming to visit one of the best amusement parks in the USA.

I remember in either the late 90s or early 00s i used to get a book out of the library all about rollercoasters and Batman the Ride was in it. I thought it was the most terrifying looking thing! Nowadays B&M inverts are my absolute favorite rollercoasters. I'm riding Black Mamba for the first time this year and can't wait.

Hi shawn and Charlotte I went on Manta at seaworld last month. I absolutely hated it the pretzel loop was awful . I'm 52 I've never been on a flying coaster. My daughter who's 21 said come on Mum your enjoy it 😲. So I thought well I'm only here in florida once so I may as well give it a go. I grew up going to this park. So many memories come back from watching this vlog!

I wasn't too sure about six flags parks due to the amount of IPs involved but there are a few orginal rides there! Thank you for the vlog both!

The Camp Cartoon area used to be Cartoon Network themed and it did have the Mystery Machine. Batman’s wheel covers are never on as maintenance claims it takes too long to assemble them.

Well what can I say lol. This was great even the scenery. I'm mostly bedridden and your content takes me all over the world. I text my friend and tell her what state and park I'm in lol. I live in the uk and she gets my sense of humour lol. We toured America on our Harley 2005 and travelled through 5 states in 2 weeks. Awesome. I do like America. Thankyou for taking me along. Love you youngsters and it's wonderful to see you doing so well. Onwards and upwards the most knowledgeable Theme Park enthusiast in the world in my opinion

The best six flags park imo

Great America is really an underrated park. It falls 4th out of the major Six Flags parks, and is kinda tucked away to itself, but it has charm and a great atmosphere. I’m glad the ops were good too. Makes me hope for my home park to give a similar experience.

I grew up going to this park back in the 1970’s when it was Marriott’s Great America, the Demon was built in 1976 as “The turn of the century”, then in 1981 they converted it to “The Demon”, and added the two loops before the corkscrew. Oh, and The Whizzer is by far the most BELOVED ride in the park! 😊
