Six Flags Over Georgia Review, Only Six Flags in the Southeast | 2nd Six Flags 

Tree cover is easily the most underrated looking aspect for a southern park like this.

I had an absolutely dead day at the park in 2021. I was there on June 10th, and everything was a walk on all day. The most I waited for anything was 10 minutes for Great American Scream Machine

The problem with our six flags here in Georgia is that Austell is one of the most ghetto cities, too close to Atlanta 🤣🤣

I love this ride collection. So many looping coasters, a woodie, a hyper, and more. With all 9 major coasters. They almost have it all, maybe just a modern wooden coaster and a launch coaster. But it's fantastic what all they have.

Most of my visits have been partial days before going to a Braves game, and it would be very busy. I didn't know about the early entry rides. TwCyc was late in opening on my 2018 visit, new ride downtime issues. My first full day was a Saturday after Thanksgiving 2020, and the crowds were pretty light all day. I gained a deeper appreciation for this park on that day. Only one time has the close parking lot been open for me.

I had some good luck visiting this park mid week early June last year with minimal waits! Dare Devil Dive and Superman did have some slow dispatching so those waits were longer, but both very very fun especially Dare Devil for me. Unfortunately had to miss the Justice League dark ride because it was hot and the AC in that building must’ve not been working because I was about to pass out waiting in the slow moving queue so we left to hydrate and cool down. Goliath is my favorite B&M hyper, better than my home one Mako (I do still love Mako tho), and Twisted Cyclone is an underrated RMC. Monster Mansion was easily a highlight too, was not expecting that from a six flags park, and the animatronic and scene quality was just about comparable to Disney. Very fun underrated park!

I've been to Atlanta three times and have never been able to get to this park. First time I went was with my father. He's not really a theme park guy so that was a no. Second time was with my then girlfriend. We went up to Atlanta for a concert and she actually bought tickets to go to the park. We get to the day, we get up early and do all that normal nonsense. We drive to the park and on the way there I noticed that none of the coasters were testing. (you can see them from the highway) We get to the entrance and see NO cars. NO line. Nothing. We get to a security guy who tells us that the park is closed as it is not open during the week and only on weekends. Keep in mind this was at least ten years ago and I have no idea what their current operating schedule is like. So basically we had to eat the tickets as we were only there during the week and would not be there on the weekend. Third time is exactly one year after the above one. I was there with a different friend for another concert (it's an annual concert called Progpower), Problem this time is that this particular friend is not into going on rides, especially coasters so, again, I am denied going to the park. What would be the point in that case? I'll get there one of these days. Eventually.

Just what I needed! I have plans to go to this park on April 16th, which is a Saturday just before Easter. And what I'd like to know most is the order of coasters to hit in just ONE day. Also make sure Goliath's the last coaster to hit because that's the coaster I'm gonna save to be my 100th coaster. And, I would like to check out Monster Mansion and Acrophobia, too. Again, the order of the coasters I should hit in ONE DAY, with Goliath as the last one.

Over Georgia has every box checked now Airtime - Goliath / Twisted Cyclone Launch - Georgia Surfer Multilooper - Alot Wood - GASM (although they could still use a modern woodie) Not on the track - Superman Ultimate Flight / Batman The Ride Family - Alot

I just went there yesterday and it was fantastic. Unfortunately we didn't get there until an hour after opening so we did have to skip Hurricane Harbor (which sucked because it was a very hot day) but it had a very underrated roller coaster collection and a very nice atmosphere not just with the theming in certain area but also the shading trees here and there.

This park could be great if the operations and layout didn’t spur parts of the experience. I feel like workers did their job but there was poor manager when I went. The rides are fantastic, but it’s unfortunate that the experience is never great when I go.

The closer lot is opened when it's not going to be a more crowded day which if it's open it's for sure not gonna be crowded the other is the opposite. This is a Great Review, most people hate this park for its people, for example, you have some very Ghetto people who were screaming at Georgia Scorcher one night. And sometimes there's crazier stuff. But in terms of everything else this park is great!

Little known fact… the log flume was longer but was shorten to add GA Scorcher…

Dare Devil Dive has horrible capacity? I swear it kept the line moving faster than every ride in the park except for Goliath when I went.

Love this park, had my first visit May of last year. Didn’t anticipate the summer Sun to already be firing and got very sunburned but it was worth it!

Six Flags Over Georgia is very underrated. I found it to be a lot better than Over Texas or New England, which are two parks it is compared to. I fin it is much closer to Great America and Great Adventure level than Over Texas or New England. Great coaster line-up! Operations is hit or miss at this park. That is really the biggest downside. I find that Twisted Cyclone is slightly better than Goliath for me.

I got to visit during Holiday in the Park recently, and it was solid. The light displays were good, and I really enjoyed the Christmas tree lighting event. The coaster lineup is quite good here. My favorites were Goliath and Batman the Ride. My biggest gripe was how far the entrance was from the parking lot. I forgot my strap in my car, and only realized that when I was about to head in.

This is my home park and I love it. Last year, I only went on the weekends both in the summer and the regular season. The longest line I waited in was for superman. It was about an hour and a half. The second longest was Batman, the line was around 30-40 mins. The other rides (including the main ones, Goliath and Twisted Cyclone) were always about a 5-15 min wait. The lines were amazing all last year. I haven't gone in a few months, so I don't know what they are like now.

Goliath looks like one of the best B&M hypers and B&M are some of my favorites so I hope I can make it out there someday.

Assuming Magic Mountain and Great Adventure round out the top 3 of Six Flags Parks (or top 4 depending on where you rank Fiesta Texas), I'd see Over Georgia coming in at 6th in the chain. I'm biased somewhat toward Great America since it was my original home park, but Over Georgia's coaster lineup is really solid and although I wasn't all that impressed with the scenery it wasn't anything that detracted from my visit. I haven't been to any SF parks but Over Georgia and Great America, but my impression is that the coasters at MM and GAdv necessitate those parks being high in the rankings while the two Texas parks have a combo of great scenery and rides. Did you notice any difference in how TwiCy runs early in the day vs later? I had a feeling that going straight for the RMC was a mistake during my visit and I went straight for Goliath before going for Gotham City for Batman and Mindbender (idk how slow this used to run but it is trimmed to death now, the loops are good but a little more speed would go a long way). If TwiCy doesn't run much slower in the morning, though, I'll probably go straight to it for a half dozen rides next time I'm there.

See in RCDB, but the park's classic looping coaster Mindbender was closed after the 2019 season and refurbished and renovated for the 2021 season. So if I ask you, did you not mind that, or do you wish it wasn't...?

As a 14 Year Old Kid, This Park Is My Homepark and I’ve Went Over 22 Times Last Summer Alone

Describing employees as ‘disinterested’ is generous. Out of the over thirty parks I’ve attended, 6FL GA is without question the worst in that regard. It’s almost as if it’s in their job description to make sure the guests know that they hate their jobs. It’s because of the strong line up, I’ve been about a half a dozen times, despite the need to brace myself for the interpersonal unpleasantness that inevitably ensues.

I’m an Atlanta native so SFOG has been my home park my entire life. Going to the park as a child in the 80’s and now bringing my children back as an adult is really awesome. The coasters are great (Batman still rocks) but the food options suck compared to other premium parks like Disney and Universal. Still a great park and glad to call it home after all these years.

I'm slightly older than the 2nd Six Flags park. This like the originally Texas (Arlington park) are NOT owned by 6 flags Inc. Yes! it's super hilly, but gorgeous! Like it's original has been prone to flooding as the Chattahoochee river is near by. SFoTX has Johnson's Creek running through the park. It is a great park. I wish I could find the 1988 advert to this park. A lad on a porch swing "day dreaming" of a summer at the park. That was the last of the individualized adverts before everything became "generic"

What would you prefer, a rough wooden coaster with some itty bitty airtime or Twisted Cyclone, why?

I am from Nashville and I love that this park is only within a 4 hour drive. It's always a good time there when I visit Atlanta.

I went during a Sunday for holiday in the park and the lines were all very minimal. Longest line I had to wait in was 15 minutes or so for joker fun house but most other things were walk on or station wait. The employers also didn't care if I stayed on the coaster for a few laps since there were always open seats

I love this park..It reminds me alot of my Beloved Astroworld.No park in the six flags chain is as similar to The defunct Houston park..I went last April and got to spend about 4 hrs here..But I am planning a second trip soon..The ride selection is incredible..Love Goliath Twisted Cyclone,And also Great American Scream Machine..(although I got beat up 😕 lol)This park is a beautiful place to visit.

I spent 2 days at Six Flags Over Georgia during labor day weekend of 2020. This is the best six flags park in the chain. Honest to god I actually think it has the best overall coaster collection of any six flags park as Goliath, Blue Hawk, Ultimate Flight, Cyclone, and even their supporting case is fantastic. I also think the park has a collection of unique attractions like the old log flume, the monster mansion, and others which gives it more character than other parks. Now much like every six flags there were some things that weighed it down. Food was bad maintenance was pretty poor and ops were slow but I still got all available 10 creds at the time.

I honestly would love to see a large scale Raptor built where the Go Karts is currently located. The park needs a secondary RMC and is a coaster that I’m begging for it to be added for 2026 at least. They have a lot of room to build their next major coaster.

If I ask you, did you like the renovation and changes made to Mindbender, Canobie Coaster would say: While this did preserve the ride for many years to come, it came at a cost. The Mindbender I knew has been r _ _ _ _ _ . It's not bad at this point, in fact, it's still an e _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ride. It's just not what it used to be and I'll explain why in the review. There are two words missing in the quote. The first one starts with a R and the second one starts with an E.

Love their classic carousel. It's nice. Biggest downfall of the park is its teenage employees who just don't care. It has a great group of rides though. Strong lineup. Little bit of everything. I'd say Goliath, Mind Bender, Monster Mansion, Agrophobia, Twisted Cyclone and Joker's Funhouse are highlights. I'm a sucker for Arrow mine trains and log flumes too. Great American Scream Machine is fuckin brutal though. It is really rough on it's valleys. Oh and I really dig their standup. It's different. Still haven't done the rapids yet somehow. I go almost every year for the last few years. Can't wait to hit Fun Spot and Arie Force One on next trip this year. I usually stay at the hotel that's like 300 yards from the front entrance. So don't have to deal with parking.

Went during Labor Day weekend 2023. One of the dirtiest theme parks I've ever visited. Bring hand sanitizer! Lack of restrooms. And if you do find one, hold your breath. They stink and are unclean! Unfriendly and nonchalant staff. They're all kids that have zero etiquette. They took way too long to move coaster trains out of their stations. It shouldn't take more than 2 minutes to safely move trains out after seat checks. But they would usually take 5 minutes or more mostly just stalling or chatting for reasons unknown. The rides really show their age. The old ones are rough and bumpy. The lack of care and maintenance is evident everywhere. Even the newer rides need paint. Yes, some rides are good. B & M and RMC are the gems of this park. And the scenery is great with all the beautiful trees. They provide a great amount of shade. I visited because I've never been to a Six Flags, and I'm also a coaster enthusiast. But I've had better experiences elsewhere.

Great review but let me tell you bro SFOG is a complete waist of time and money. I use to like going there but I've gotten bored so I moved and now I got Sea world, Universal, and BGT best decision I've ever made.
