I watched it the day of thanksgiving and I woke up and heard “six” and when it started i started screaming I was so excited and then started singing. Best. Thanksgiving. Yet.
@@gabythedreamer ear infection and they wear iem (inner ear monitors) to hear people backstage giving cues, help, etc but with an ear infection you can’t wear one
@@holographic2176 Samesies! I've been watching since the UK shows were posted online... then to the US previews...these women have waited so long for this!! Cannot wait until it tours! Miss Andrea though...
@@DigiDestined13 it might because Samantha pointed out that they do things different in the songs for the Broadway versions, so maybe they will put out a Broadway recording
I loved this my mom was at home with covid and I was staying at my grandma’s house and she called me saying “Did you know Six was on the parade” and she also said “Their costumes are really pretty”
all of them are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Ive seen every video of them (includng bootlegs,) and i swear, aragon makes me drop dead every time!! Theyre so talented, and they play their parts so well. im sad that they had to have someone fill in for adrea, but this was still great! i hate how anyone who performs in the MDTP has to lip sync, but hey, theres nothing we can do. and i know that theyre just as good live too
I tried watching this and was so excited when Six came on! And then my mother was literally talking through the entire thing and I couldnt put my full attention to the performance. So glad this is uploaded.
Y’all. My brother turned on football right as the performers started their stuff I missed this and now I’m super bummed out. Glad I could watch it here now!
Are they doing a Broadway one? I mean, I know they did a version of it in the UK before it even came to the U.S., but would they consider doing a Broadway one? I mean, even some of the original UK cast aren't even on the album.
I gotta say I love this musical as much as I love Hamilton, which says ALOT. The music is soooo catchy!! I watched this love on the NCL breakaway! Got pics with the singers! Amazing talent! =)
THANK YOU - I tried recording your segment but it taped the whole abysmal parade (which I'd determined already not to watch after that Victoria's Secret ad posing as _Moulin Rouge_ ) , and seeing as I was about out of room on my DVR, ended up ditching the whole thing. Appreciate very much your putting this up
A tenor Drum player from my school was selected to play in one of the bands in this parade and I'm now jealous because they were like a couple miles away from these queens
Wait, do the Broadway understudies wear the main costumes on stage or was this just for the parade? I think that's why so many people are confused about Boleyn.
Unfortunately due to “union rules” the alternates have to wear the same costume as the queen they cover. Unfortunately now they’re trying to implement this into other productions of Six (Cruise ships and West End) 😫
@@hunterhovorka Thanks for the response, but also oh no. I love the Broadway cast, I love the costume changes, I love that people are riffing more, but dear god, I'm still not over the megasix rule there and now we might all lose understudy costumes too 😧
@@hunterhovorka Uh... in every other theatrical production, the understudies wear the EXACT SAME COSTUMES as the leads they're covering for. Six was the exception, not the rule.
There could be two reasons, she either couldn’t get to the performance so her understudy (Courtney Mack) went on, or if they had a show on this dayandrea would’ve been off meaning that it was Courtney’s day on
These performances are almost always pre-recorded and lip-synched, and it looks like this was as well. My question is, did they get a chance to record the Boleyn understudy? Or is she lip-synching to Andrea's voice?
That’s the understudy (attempting) to lip sync to her own voice. Not Andrea’s. The understudy is Courtney Mack by the way. Not related to the Cleves’ actress. - Brittany Mack-
I honestly don't care if they lip-sync. They're still good at performing, either way. Also, Anne Bolynne's understudy (Courtney Mack) did AMAZING at covering for Andrea Macaset, who couldn't be at the performance.
Very well done. I hope to see this live someday under 2 circumstances: 1) if my friend conducts (she is the associate MD of the B’way cast), and 2) if there are multiple alternates going on. I would also love to FaceTime with said friend and her cast after the show to offer my thoughts, but I don’t know if that’s too much to ask.
@@tananario One of them has dissed me on social… and I’ve already seen one of the main actresses on stage in another show, and would love to give the other ladies a shot.
