I’ve seen so many people comparing these two musicals, but it’s not until you fully see how perfect they are together that you realize why. It’s not just they have six girlbosses singing, they actually compliment each other so well.
Woah this is amazing! I love the combination of Cell Block Tango with all the references to Six songs. The actresses are all phenomenal and the choreography is great too
I met the girl who plays Katherine Howard (Tory Vagasy) at a restaurant where the waitresses/waiters sang Broadway songs. One of the songs she sang with a few other people was Ex-wives from SIX… as Katherine Howard. 🤯
"Ich hasste diesen Mann von ganzem Herzen, mehr als ich es mit Worten ausdrücken könnte. Er liebte, was er sah, aber dann kam ich bei unserer Hochzeit in sein Blickfeld und er änderte seine Meinung völlig." -cleves
My daughter got right into Six, and I kept getting Cell Block Tango stuck in my head. Couldn't work out why, figured it was just lyrical ("Pop, Six, Squish, Uh-uh, Cicero, Lipschitz"). Then realised it was six women. Aaahhhh, got it. Then I found this. Thank you! Yep, that's what was needed. And so well written and perfectly performed too! Forwarded to my daughter right away! 🤣
Omg I’ve been waiting for this for soooo long!!!! I even made my own a month ago: [Catherine of Aragon] Divorced [Anne Boleyn] Beheaded [Jane Seymour] Died [Anne of Cleves] Divorced [Kathryn Howard] Behead [Catherine Parr] Survived [say respective parts] Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, behead, survived Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, behead, survived Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, behead, survived [All] We had it comin' We had it comin' We only have Henry to blame If you'd have been there If you'd have seen it I betcha your fate would’ve done the same Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, behead, survived Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, behead, survived [Catherine of Aragon] You know how people have these little habits that get you down? Like, Henry Henry, he really liked remarrying No, not remarrying, Divorcing. So I came home this one day And I'm really irritated And I'm looking for a little bit o' sympathy And there's Henry, lyin' on his throne, drinkin' some wine and cheating on me No not cheating Divorcin’ me So, I said to him, I said "You cheat one more time" And he did So I stood up, grabbed my belonging, And ran away to a nunnery [All] We had it comin' We had it comin' We only had Henry to blame If you'd have been there If you'd have seen it I betcha your fate would be the same [Anne Boleyn] I met Henry in England in 1522 And he told me he was single And we hit it off right away So, we started living together He'd go do his duties, he'd come home I'd fix him a drink, we'd have dinner And then I found out "Single" he told me Single, my head Not only was he married Oh no, he had four other wives coming So that night we yelled at each other for hours until he snapped. He ordered my head to be chopped off Before I left, I told told him that other women would never love him Then I was beheaded [All] We had it comin' He had it comin' We took a flower In its prime And then we used it But he abused it It was a murder But not a crime [Jane Seymour] Ordering specialites for dinner Minding my own business In storms my husband Henry in a crazy rage "You been pregnant?, " he says I blushed and looked away. I wasn’t ready to tell him yet. And he kept on screamin' "You been pregnant?" And then I suddenly went into labor Our baby was born, but I died. [All] If you'd have been there If you'd have seen it I betcha you would have said the same! [Anne of Cleves] Ich chillte an meiner eigenen Stelle, als plötzlich Henry brach herein und sagte: „Wir heiraten“ Nach einer Weile bemerkte er, dass ich nicht so aussah wie auf meinem Porträt Also haben wir uns scheiden lassen [Kathryn Howard] But are you ugly? [Anne of Cleves] Nein, not ugly! [Kathryn Howard] I have always been dating around with men I said to myself that Iwould never date again Until I met Henry We hit it off but somthing ws off All he wanted to do is (mah) One night I met this courtier He was so niceI thought I fell in love Until he used me like all the men before Not long later, Henry found out Then I had no head [All] We had it comin' (we had it comin') We had it comin' (we had it comin') We had it comin' all along (we had it comin' all along) I didn't do it (she didn't do it) But if I'd done it (but if she'd done it) How could you tell me that I was wrong? We had it comin' (we had it comin') We had it comin' (we had it comin') We had it comin' all along (they took a flower in its prime) I didn't do it (and then they used it) But if I'd done it How could you tell me that I was wrong? [Catherine Parr] I loved Henry the 8th More than I can possibly say He was a real serious guy Sensitive, a king But he was always trying to find another wife He'd go out every night looking for himself And on the way He found me But I was already dating I guess you could say I broke up Because of this husband change I saw Henry alive And then I saw him dead [All] The worst king, king, king, king, king The worst king, king, king, king, king He had it comin' (we had it comin') He had it comin' (we had it comin') He had it comin' all along (we had it comin' all along) 'Cause Henry used us ('cause Henry used us) And he abused us (and he abused us) He finally died when he did wrong He had it comin' (we had it comin') He had it comin' (we had it comin') He only has himself to blame (he only had himself to blame) If you'd have been there (if you'd have been there) If you'd have seen it (if you'd have seen it) I betcha you fate have done the same [say respective parts] You cheat on me one more time! Single my head! You been pregnant?! Nein, not ugly! I fell in love! He found me! Divorced Beheaded Died Divorced Behead Survived
Dear Vijay, Pixel Playhouse, and everyone involved: Thank you for the fantastic "SIX The Musical." I was mesmerized! Loved the music, the words, the characters, the acting & singing, the choreography, the lights, the setting, the wardrobes, the videorecording. How do you make something that happened in history seem so fresh today? My jaw dropped. Wow!
Always wanted someone to do this mashup! Lends itself perfectly! 😈 The only thing that would have made it better is if Anna spoke in German, like Hunyak spoke in Hungarian(?). It fits, since she knew no word of English when she met Henry.
I can’t believe how perfectly the characters worked together. Such a creative concept and delivered so brilliantly. Outstanding job to everyone involved!
Omg I absolutely loved this! The mix of these two turned out great and all the actresses were absolutely amazing with singing and acting and dancing I now Im going to send this to my friends knowing they’d love it as well! Great job! ❤
Ok so one day I was reading the lyrics to Ex Wives and on the app I was using there were annotations on they lyrics that were highlighted so I clicked on the "Divorced beheaded died divorced beheaded survived" lyrics and the annotation said the rhyme was done in the same way of the beginning to "Cell Block Tango" so I guess it was only natural to have this mashup of the two and I love it
that's EXACTLY right! We heard there were elements that were inspired by Chicago, and Cell Block Tango, so doing this mashup really made so much natural sense!
@@PixelPlayhouse Back in 2020 I made a mash-up of the two songs for a silly 6 minute skit summarizing SIX: The Musical. Got about 30k views but took it down after a couple of months bc it was genuinely cringe-y. I was so happy when I came across this masterpiece you guys have done ✨
It was only a matter of time someone did a mashup of these two musicals and I must say, you guys delivered! Is a recording of this up somewhere like Spotify or something? Would love to listen to it on the go
sadly not yet! We're def thinking of putting up the stuff on spotify! This is only our second real longer video, so we're pretty fresh and new and have lots to figure out! SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT! Thank you!
