Lauren You noticed that two! I love it as well. Costumes are not easy nor cheap to make, so it really shows how much effort they put into the show!

Jennifer Shay it’s actually cheaper to give swings and alternates their own costume, instead of a ‘replica’ of all of the roles they cover. However I do agree with the both of you, that it’s nice everyone has their unique look :)

Each of the alternates also gets a few custom pieces, I believe, as Cleves has a line and part in Get Down where she takes of her fur jacket, so anyone covering her also gets a jacket.

Yes that was so good! I was so impressed by that because I would've fallen over halfway through and can't twerk like that at all even though I've been dancing for years😂😢😂

Actually it was the other way around! Courtney was on for Seymour for the Matinee (this show) then later on during the evening performance Jaye’J got a nose bleed during Hause of Holbein so Courtney went on for Aragon halfway through

Basically a new thing called Sunday Favourites at The Other Palace is a thing The Other Place Theatre is hosting in order to "Bring musical theatre lovers closer to the stars of West End" So Aimie was one of the stars selected to have her own concert for the Sunday Favourites today she announced Renée and Christina will be joining to perform with her in her concert for the Sunday Favourites and a little bit ago she announced Genesis would be with her performing too. Why am I bringing this up? Because the Sunday Favourites says "everyone has the perfect view to see the West End stars perform acoustic versions of their favourite songs" meaning the four will probably perform atleast one if not multiple songs from SIX. Now all we need is Izuka!

They only have 3 swings. Genesis Lynea is the original Anna Of Cleves from the December 2017 to January 2018 cast. She made an emergency return.

the original student edinburgh run, no there wasn't. the original london run yeah! the original student run was pretty different, especially catharine of aragon and k parr's songs

@@ondiiina I don't know heaps about the original runs because I didn't see it, but in a Q&A Toby and Lucy said they completely rewrote Parr's song, as in the original she mainly just fixed everyone's problems but didn't get to tell her own story. I also know they had very different costumes, a different stage setup and no finale number. A bunch of jokes were taken out or replaced too, but that's mainly just one-liners I think

Nothing's been announced in terms of cast change - Grace is leaving in August and that's all they've said so I assume the rest aren't planning to leave yet.

Just been announced that Millie and Maiya are leaving in October :(

They do, Grace - Black, Vicki - Teal, Courtney - Bronze. Genesis was an emergency fill in so her costume is put together last minute, that's why it didn't have a specific color. It's one of the bands tops if you noticed

each swing has their own costume. because they have to learn all parts, they stick with their own costume but use accessories depending on who they are playing.

The cast is listed in the description. Grace, Courtney and Vicki are standbys who were playing Howard, Seymour and Parr respectively. Genesis was an emergency cover Clever having played her originally for the studio cast recording. The Show is still Six, even when understudies are on.

I love the alternate costumes! I feel like Grace's was designed to be non specific for when she originally covered all 6 queens, hence the black, and then I think the others' outfits are mire of a fusion of the two queens they were originally scheduled to cover! I think certain combinations work better than others, like I don't love Courtney's outfit for Jane Seymour but I do for Parr if that makes sense?

I just find it weird for when Vicki is Anne Boleyn “my sleeves may be green but my lipsticks red” - her costume is blue rather than green

Ella Eastwood I think a big part of it too is that they need to be able to be universal. Outfits like Millie and Aimee’s are so visually strong that you wouldn’t really be able to picture them as swings. By being more neutral, the alternates’ substitution is less noticeable, and they can play around with their hair and makeup instead, which Grace and Court very noticeably do dependant on the character they’re covering

She’s the tallest

Aragon wears heeled boots too! It's just a thicker heel so you can't tell. She has the same boots in three different heel heights depending on how she's feeling in terms of dancing in them!

Clíodhna a swing covers 2 queens, so they can cover either, which means it can look like there’s a lot of different varieties of cast! The swings seem to cover quite a bit too :)

Clíodhna seems that the swings have certain dates they know they will perform on, and it looks like more than the average show! Not too sure on the reason behind it

@@wadawax each main cast member gets off 1 day a week, presumably because it's a very vocally and physically intensive show, and so they're not overworked. they have 3 alternates. all of the alternates were on that night, but there were 4 people off (natalie/seymour had an ear infection, aimie/howard was injured, maiya/parr was on vacation, and alexia/cleves was sick) so Genesis, part of the cast from the Edinburgh run, went on last-minute as Anne of Cleves for Lexi.

Courtney is also 1st cover Seymour, and she couldn't do both! That's the whole reason why they have 2nd covers 😊

She was injured, otherwise they wouldn't have needed Genesis as Vicki could have gone on for Cleves

Who.is.heather X they didn’t the first two are still the same the only reason that the swings are on is because the actual actors are sick etc idk why but with six they tend to be off way more often than other shows? Maybe we notice it more because of the different costumes idk

Who.is.heather X wow, you’re rude. The swings are just as good as the originals. They have to do 9 performances a week, meaning insane cardio, & strain on their voices. They need breaks, which is where the swings come in. The swings have to learn multiple parts, meaning that they do even more than the originals, so don’t disrespect them
