In real-time, this all took place over the course of about 5 hours. The first car arrived at 7:22PM and the first car was towed at 7:55PM. By 8:30PM, the lot was cleared of bandits. It took considerably longer for the people to return to find their cars missing.
If these people learn how to read they would never get towed but thankfully they don't and i get endless laugher....the 9 dislikes must be the ones that got towed😂😂😂
I used to impound in Las Vegas people always ignore the signs. I sometimes even gave people a chance to move thier cars but ignored me. Told me I didn't have the balls so I did what I was paid to do. Best night I ever had was 23 cars between my partner and I in 10 hours. And I felt good because they were all in handicapped spaces without a placard.
Pianissimo Fortissimo Yeah, and sometimes i park in sketchy spots and thought I just put my car in gear (stick) and handbrake. They can't touch it......oh how i see i am wrong hahaha. Never gonna do that lol
And their car likely got fucked up because of it. Pretty common if they aren't flat bed towed. I always check for no parking or tow zone signs. Fuck that hassle. It looked like a sketchy area to park too.
@@macbrown99 it was to capture the condition of the vehicle before being towed incase the owner would make false accusations like how the car got damaged etc.
Sorry but I love this! I lived behind a restaurant in college and everyday people parked in my driveway. I had a hectic class schedule so I would run home when I could but wouldn’t be able to get to my door soooo I started parking behind them. They would get so pissed having to come knock on my door to ask me to move. I took my time answering the door after my roommate and I laughed watching them through the window.
Bekah Burgess My daughter did this regularly at her apartment and she’d make them wait up to two hours after they’d come to her door asking her to move.
Naw, the cameras are due to the nature of their business. That is also the reason for such a robust generator. What I don't like is how the towers treated some of the cars and IF they damaged anything, you know that they'd say "We're not liable or that didn't happen from our tow".
I have been in situations where I needed to park in private business, I went in to the offices and explained my situation and even offered to pay to park. I only had 1 business say no. I found that if you just ask, you may just get permission. Respect still goes along way.
@@rodice11ja I have also done it. And it does work most times. It is just proper respect for the owner of the property. And many people appreciate it enough that they will help. Just be truthful and curtious.
@Ian potter, I totally agree with you 👍 keep up the good manners. Because now days this kids think they are intlitled just because is them, they have to allow them to park there lol 😂😂😂
To clarify why that’s not a practice. I work for a towing company, a lot like that is considered entrapment, and can get the towing company sued. All towing zones must be properly marked, and towing companies aren’t allowed to tow people without being called. (Unless they are contracted by the owner of the property to tow people on sight) Towing companies that aren’t privately contracted have either zones that they adhere too and tow within or they work solely based on calls/roadside assistance. We are there primarily to tow people from accidents, and from the side of the road. Plus we make more from towing after the police have been called I.e. wrecks, arrested drivers, car impounds etc.
I used to live in a building in Vancouver and I had a designated outdoor parking space that had a huge sign that said reserved parking private etc you will be towed. I used to have to call a tow truck driver 2-3 times per week, the driver gave me his cell number he was there so often. Every time the people getting towed were angry, when I couldn't park my own car at my own place. Entitled much?
I had the same prob at my building with one of my neighbour's constantly parking in my spot that I paid for and she did not want to pay for a spot. One night she did it when it was -30 Celsius so I hauled an old mattress I had in my storage out, put it on the roof of her car and soaked it with a hose for 20 min, let let it freeze on top of her roof......she never parked in my spot again after that.
@@jamesfaison9410 Um, I am talking about in the context of how they sometimes come and pick up cars like vultures. Its like you saying that you hate cops because you see them giving parking tickets. It's in the context of what is being watched.
@@desto2586 Okay okay, let me redact my comment and change it to "I love tow companies". Hopefully that will appease everyone. The truth is I've had many tow companies as clients and have helped them make a lot of money. So my original comment was meant to be more humorous than anything else. Did I make all you tow truck drivers happy now. Lol
Tow companies are a bunch of thieves, Especially the ones in Texas. Even with the correct parking passes and everything, they want to take your shit. I should get a tow truck to pick up tow trucks when they want to double park and take up three spaces like they are above the fuckin rules. The standard should go both ways.
This video makes we happy. When I worked at a small retail shop we constantly had people parking behind us in the fire exit so they could do a quick shop. In line of sight of the market's security office. Many a smug grin was wiped when they came back to find a ticket.
No, I've met people like this before. They know the got towed, but they think the "reason" is that the property owners are dicks who won't let them park while they eat dinner or do whatever it is they do ( which they see as a bad reason, ergo they got towed for "no [good] reason). They won't realize the reason is that they are in fact the dicks taking up employee/customer parking. They don't learn.
This is hilarious! (I’m sure not for those who are towed). I just stumbled on these vids, and the music, sound effects, and fun facts kept me laughing. Cheap entertainment (not for them) is always a thumbs up in my book!
@@simplywonderful449 none of those people were millennials. Chances are... you are actually a millennial. It's usually actual millennials mocking younger kids as being millennials which is truly stupid.
i was thinking more of a venus fly trap. i would think the business would work out a revenue share deal with the tow company. sort of a finders fee like a realtor or broker.. 7% seems reasonable.
I think what baffles me the most is that across the alley is a hand painted no parking and they act like its MEGA official... But the side FULL of cameras and signs is ignored... Just crazy
Why in the hell does anyone park on this piece of land? Seen loads of clips of cars getting towed from here. Those trucks must wait round the corner ready to pounce like trap-door-spiders! Haven't laughed so much at a You-Tube clip in ages
Yeah, just so you know, that is the definition of predatory towing which is really illegal. There was recently a 22 million dollar judgement against a company in NJ. Look it up. Have fun for now guys.
Trucking Justice - Pontificator If you have read the Q&A of any recent video, you will know that IT sits on the computers to watch and call for towing. Therefore, it isn’t predatory towing.
It's not predatory if there's signs there warning them of being towed and they don't take the time for a little reading comprehension, that's not on anyone else but whoever parks there
andy d Watch the videos again and take note of the time stamps, most of those that get towed are there for way more than 30 mins before the tow truck turns up.
In Denver its usually around $450.00 if they have to tow it. Big tow trucks get $1000.00 just to pull out. Denver will boot your car if they are busy. If you get back before the tow truck you can pay to get the boot off, and it's about $125.00 total.
@Matt not always. I've seen quite a few go out of business after being very successful because there was no more idiots with a car. But then again now a days I could be wrong because there are a lot of idiots behind the wheel. Especially with the sovereign citizen idiots driving without any proper documents to drive.
I know someone who owns one and aside from all the fees they also kept or sold personal belongings that weren't retrieved from the vehicles Grossed me out but they had money
THIS IS NOT MY VIDEO The office building were I work at has 5 signs telling people not to park unless you are visiting our doctor office. Everyday ppl come in and ASK if they can park so they can go to the hospital. We tell them, "There are 5 signs telling you that the spaces are for the Doctor's offices." "I know, I am asking you, can I park here?" "Sir/Ma'am, we have stroke patients, patients walking with brain tumors, patients who have fallen with brain injuries, and many patients in wheelchairs, that these parking spaces are for". "But there's no parking". "There is parking at the Hospital Parking garage and it is FREE". "But that's on the other side. I'm asking if I can park here". "Sir/Ma'am, there are 5 signs telling you it is a tow away zone" "I was ASKING, you don't have to be a Bitch". When they proceed to park in front of our office, despite the warnings, they get towed. When they come and boo hoo cry abt their car being towed, we remind them of their rude behavior and names they called our staff. "But I ASKED"!!!
You risk damaging the drivetrain of these vehicles if you just drag them out especially older ones. If you lift a fw drive buy the front it is fine same for rw. But pulling out awd vehicles and dragging them risks damage to the vehicle. It is clear these guys don't care and want to get out of there as fast as possible but they still are liable for damage.
I so know this feeling I had two parking stalls in the back of my apartment of a downtown building I put big signs up all over the place one was over 4 foot by 4 foot I actually witnessed someone ripping the sign down parking right behind my vehicle and walking into the bar next door I was late for work three times because I had to wait for a tow truck to tow the vehicle out from behind me so I could get out the best is when I came home one day after not so great a day at work and two cars were parked right in front of my no parking sign I parked the cars in with my car and proceeded to go to bed 3 in the morning I got a phone call from the sheriff's department telling me they're going to tow my car I went down and talk to the Sheriff's Department with the tow truck driver tow truck driver and Sheriff's Department both agreed the other two cars needed to be towed and ticketed best day of my life
I have an 2002 car. Idgaf if i hit somebody in the parking lot. So when someone parks to close to me they will find a gift. Especially if they have a new car or an expensive one.
@@joshw2059 if you park too close to me and it's too hard to go away i do this. If you park like a normal person i'll respect your car and i'll not touch it. Just saying that i'll not kill my clutch because a dickhead doesn't know how to park. Get it?
I worked in an IT Data Centre & on a rotating Roster. Parking was limited & very expensive in the nearby Casino. A few geniuses thought they would park on the street without feeding the meters & NOT come back to a huge fine. As we were a 24/7 Operations, anyone on the street blocking the driveway was booked & towed away. I would see people banging on the glass reception doors asking about their missing cars in the early hours of the morning. Naturally I did not care about their bloody cars being towed as this was a public street & no way were they blocking our driveway as vehicles came & went. We needed 24 hour access but this did not stop fools from parking there.
The second one checked the cars before towing and took pictures to make sure he can't get sued for any damage that was there beforehand. And the SUV had a 4wd that can't be towed away just like that. So yeah, the other one was probably more skilled and less anxious about any damaga done😎
There was one Saturday at my job where at least 17 of us had to work for calling in. Boss asked us to park in the lot where the company cars usually go to prevent the activity building next door from using our lots. The road into my office is very narrow. Cars lined the whole side that day
I have considerable respect for parking regulations. A friend asked me to take her and her grandson to downtown Los Angeles before seeing them off to Phoenix on the Greyhound Bus. She had me stop sat a coffee shop first, and my car was impounded. I called the police and located it. The friend had to pay the impound fees. I call all the shots now when parking downtown.
Lol that would be nice. I live in a gated place with someone who is disabled. People think it’s ok to park in he handicapped spot all the time that we need. I’ve had 20 vehicles towed at least over the last few months. I joke with them now when I call that I need a 10% kickback from the fees lol
Gary Moore So many people just don’t give a F. This time this group lost and now they get to pay out. Maybe the $5 parking near by they should have used is a better deal.
They are lucky they all have cell phones, back in the day you would have had to hunt down a pay phone or run back to the restaurant or shop and use their phone lol. I've luckily never been towed, I always check for signs. Screw that mess.
I actually got towed once for parking in a no parking zone. I ran into the building for like 2 minutes so that's why I parked there but the guy had my car hooked already he said I can pay there or at the pound I said I would at the pound cause I didn't have money on me and it actually worked out in my favor the guy ended up getting into a car accident and recking my car lol I got a brand new 2018 car for it through their insurance and I didn't have to pay impound fees or anything lol.
I would love to work security at this place just to watch people's reaction when they come back and find there car gone. Not sure where this is but they sure seem to have a lot of activity going on at night in this area. I'm bet the people that see the sign think it only applies during the daytime hours.
Thanks for watching, Ken! The building manager has been very specific to include "24 Hours" and "ANYTIME" on the signs. Still, folks don't seem to think it applies to them.
If you were a good security person you'd warn those people who are parking (many of whom appear to be foreigners) that they'll get towed. If you're a dirtbag, you'll help the scummy tow company prey on dumb people.
I used to belong to a choral society, and once or twice a year we would give a concert in the nearest city. And every time, every single time, the director would tell people NOT to park in the insurance guy's lot across the street from the theater. And we would get to rehearsal, and the building manager would go over the rules (emergency exits, and so on) and would remind people NOT to park in the insurance guy's lot, and someone would say, "but that's only during business hours, right?" and the manager would say, "no, that's every minute of the day and night," and the person would run across the street, and the car would be hooked up to the tow truck, and it was $75.00 to unhook it. (This was quite a while ago: prices were a bit cheaper then), and we would all toss a couple of dollars in the hat to get the car unhooked. Every Single Time.
yeah and thats a dick move tbh.....people don't go out of their way to get towed. they make the calculation of...abandoned lot...night...nobody here...no harm to anyone else by using it...and use it. As they should. If they really cared a simple physical chain across the spots would work. Odd you never see that being done. 200$ cost?
As someone whose place of work has too small of a employee parking lot for the large number of employees, I love this video. Because they never tow where I am at, and parking everyday is a chore, and its literally an employee lot, with a security guard (who likes to fall asleep or just leave the station). I didn't think tow trucks could make me so happy
@@ZeddieLittle I wish. Long story, but my business basically leases the place, so the 'guards' are theirs, not ours. They are just their custodians, and they assign them to 'bridge duty' for the parking. They hired real security for a month, then decided it was too expensive. Tourist industry man, everyone is cheap. (Edited for a stupid typo)
Seeker 227 eh, complain about the slack ass security guard would be my suggestion, he doesn't deserve his paycheck according to your assessment.. this world doesn't have time for slack asses.
Once at my warehouse a guy made a massive deal saying "i only went for a minute"....then we show him his 1:30 hours minute and he wss like..... that's illegal there are no signs.....and he goes out mumbling and first thing we see thru the cameras is him reading the signs. Hahahah
Just after 1:54 when the group walk around the corner, one of them looks back around after seeing the tow truck go past. He obviously thought he was special and it wouldn't get him!
Great job fellas I am enjoying watching these videos. Some people can just take risks but it is summer in a speaker box telling them to not park there and they going to get towed That means there's someone (not a machine) can actually call someone to do that. Love this!!
10:18 "There's like no way my car was towed. I saw the signs but like they don't apply to me. That's for like other people. I mean like, what's the deal? I don't get it. Wait until I tell my dad."
Another reason such businesses tow from their lots is people park there, urinate in the parking lot, break bottles & throw trash on the ground...and when employees arrive, they get to deal with the repercussions of such illicit behavior! Or the owners get sued when somebody falls in their parking lot...way too much drama! Hook 'em up...
S Campbell excellent points, although they need no justification, if people don't understand private property then they don't deserve to have any until they do and their opinion is irrelevant.
The Tow truck company must really like getting calls from you! Most people don't have the dedication necessary to protect their lot, but it's your property and you can do with it what you want!
$150 ain't shit. Fifteen years ago I was in San Francisco and got towed (my fault) because I was slightly blocking someones driveway. To get my car back, that day (fifteen years ago), $680.
rihardo123 I was in India, in four months only seen one pile if shit that may have been human. Try that long in San Francisco, and you will find truck loads.
Worked at a business that literally had it painted on the ground and had 3 signs for our one space at our loading doors People would still park in front of them
or they think "im only parking here for an hour or 2, i'll be back before the tow truck arrives". Or they don't think Tow Truck companies are 24 hours.
After watching bunch of these videos, i wonder why people start searching their cars behind the next corner when they clearly know where there car was. its not like if someone stole it that they would find it so close by :D
AmbientNoise when you see how little attention they pay to where they park (as in if they can legally park there) it doesn’t surprise me that their first instinct is to think that perhaps they parked nearby
You have to get into their mindset. They don't understand that they do not think that they have to follow the rules so there are no consequences. So if their vehicle is not there, it's not because of something they did so it must be because the location that is wrong.
Great film! I said great because a week ago some brilliant driver parked a front of the gate to property.Less than half an hour and it was taken so I could drive out.
How do they know that the cars belongs to someone who is not supposed to park it there? How do they find out whos car is of the customer and owner of the place and whose is of random people?
If it were me I would try and save the situation by making a clever joke about going to any length to spend more time with her and head back to the bar before a cab ride home lol.
More Fun Facts. The tow truck is an American invention. The first one was fashioned in 1916 and its first tow was a Model T Ford that had flipped into a creek. There is a tow truck museum in Chattanooga, TN.
Yeah, I'm in Michigan, not a victim and yes, I am sympathetic. Anyone that thinks that this is entertainment is a little twisted. Some of these people have damage done to their cars, can't pay, have to borrow money, miss a bill etc so that you can be entertained. YES they did park where they were not authorized but I don't think that it is funny.
I think it is fucking hilarious. Break the rules lose your vehicle, simple as that. As for the rest of your comment, if they can afford to go out clubbing, they can afford to get their vehicle back.
They aren't victims, THEY ARE PERPETRATORS. They are doing something wrong, and it costs the business revenue, human resources, time, and electronics to monitor their scummy, selfish, entitled behavior just to start. Plus, the employees and customers don't get to make use of a valuable, limited, and highly prized resource--that is by rights, theirs and theirs alone. Further, it's downright mean-spirited--which is an emotional drain. There is a reason we find it satisfying to watch them get their comeuppance. And the emotional cruelty, the abject denial of other people's humanity, and the assertion that they are superior because they are willing to behave badly, is upsetting. We have a profound and sacred need to see the world set right morally again. Even if it's not the most monumental of infractions, it all starts somewhere.
