It's like I'm hearing Truth for the first time! I've been with a man for 17 years, 10 years now living together and two babies. We are not married. I have been waiting for him to marry me. "He relaxes you into your feminism". This is an extremely profound point. When a female earns her own income this does not mean she wants to be masculine. She still wants to look and feel beautiful and sensual. Carrying the weight of being the strongest one in the relationship all of the time is toxic and exhausting. This can stimulate a hardness in women. We do need to exhale from the burdens of life and choosing the right partner matters!

Amen I met my fiancé soon to be my husband I met him 6 months before my daughter passed away he was right by my side then I had to go in the hospital for emergency surgery I had to stay in the hospital for 30 days he came in the morning before work on his lunch break and after work then I had to go to rehabilitation to learn how to walk again I had to stay there 30 days he came every day he rubs my feet every day also he goes in the store and tells me to relax and he opens the door for me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💋💋💋💋

The “Relax in her femininity” is key. I was a single mother (my children are all in their mid thirties, 3 men one woman). I had to be very strong; I am still single, I have a very soft side, but my stronger side is more visible, for good reason ( I was physically and mentally abused by my ex and other relationships). I developed thick skin as a result, which I don’t think is bad. I now know why I haven’t been able to relax in my soft side. Haven’t met met the man that is God-designed for me. I am okay with it, I am in no hurry. I am currently enjoying my singleness. I spend lots of time with the Lord and mastering my gifts, hobbies and interests.

Every word spoken here is true. I am 62 years old this July. I have been dating a man for over 2 years when I knew that God was not at the center of the relationship and though we discussed it occasionally we never put God first. We were having such a great time after so many heartaches and trials of life. But the day before Thanksgiving last year God required me to put everything on pause. I had been ignoring it for a few weeks and I had not seen this man for that long and we were looking very much forward to spending the holiday together. His wife had died of cancer several years before the same year my mother passed and we both had sad times through the holidays. So we always made an effort to try and be together. And the Lord impressed me that the physical part of the relationship had to stop. I didn't know where it was going. I didn't feel like I had to break up. I just knew that starting that very moment I had to put God first. I had to get back into church and seeing meeting gathering with his people and get my life on track once and for all. 62 years old the day before Thanksgiving turkey bought fixings planned and I tell this man I know it's been two years but I have to stop the physical part of our relationship. I don't know what God's wanting. I don't know if I can be your girlfriend or not. I have to be friends first and we have to start this all over. And do you know what this man did? He broke up with me! Lol not what I was expecting but can you blame the guy no way I can't blame him. So yeah he broke up with me. And we spent the next few weeks and then months on and off the phone trying to figure out what on earth to do. But in the end he asked me to come to church with him. And we found a church together. And we started all over. At 62 years old - I'm going to marry this man. I still have some wounds of the past and some bills to get paid and so does he but I'm going to marry him. I'm alone for the first time in my life after being a teenage mom and raising four children. So for the first time in my life I'm alone in my home and I finally got to where I am enjoying it. But when I'm past this stage - I found the husband that I needed all along. Any man who would do that and wait for at least a year or two is someone very special. I am telling you ladies, they are out there. You get yourself right with God. You work on your past and your healing and why you've done what you've done to screw up your life. You work on being nice to people. And one day when you're happy with your life and your volunteering and you're learning an instrument and painting your artwork and doing your new business and all of a sudden this guy's going to show up. Plopped right into my life. I was like whoa buddy whoa friends first because I was happy with where I was at. But I didn't have God at the head of it all. I'm encouraging you that yes you can rewind. We did not get married right away thankfully. Without God being at the center we would have missed so so much! The physical aspect of our relationship overtook all of the getting to know one another in the important ways. And now we are learning how to troubleshoot our issues and how to deal with one another when upset and what the expectations are. We are dating two years after we met and started dating but this time we go to church every week first and then we go out to eat and run around and have some fun watching the airplanes at the airport or taking a day trip somewhere if we go to church on Sunday instead of Saturday night. His son who is autistic even asked to come to church with us! A 20-year-old who had denied God exists. He has to come with us. First for the food of course lol but just last week he confessed to me that he nearly cried when the pastor was talking about forgiving people. God's working on him like I had never dreamed would happen. I'm living a dream. But only because I had the courage to stop what we were doing and get things right with God first. I didn't know if we were going to break up or make it. It honestly didn't matter because I had given my life 1 million percent back to God. And each day I just worry about making God happy. And trying to let the past teach me good lessons for the future and for helping others who follow the road behind me. Sorry this was long but it was important. Sometimes God really does save the best for last! I've been married and divorced three times and had a child out of wedlock. I raised four children all told. And when they were all launched and countless dating mishaps over a period of 10 years. This guy shows up and we had so much fun I couldn't resist and though I knew he was a Christian we didn't talk about God much and I didn't know what kind of Christian he was and I already knew that it was important on how he worshiped God as much as it was that he knew God in a personal way not just on Sunday. And here we are kind of reborn virgins lol. He's in his '50s and I'm in my '60s and it's just been extraordinary. I can't wait to see what God's going to do next. I already can't believe what God has done. He's good. Making him happy is the only thing that matters. He made me. He picked out my talents my gifts my family my birth year he saw me make my decisions so why wouldn't I want him to run everything? He already knows the end! When you said she can finially drop all this weight she's had to carry, it brought me to tears.. 🙏😭 My ex never allowed me to be in my feminine and it was the most exhausting thing I've ever dealt with. This is deep. Had many relationships and was married but, realized I was broken and never recognized that no man “cleaved unto me”. Had some who wanted to spend time with me exclusively, but didn’t have that “husband energy” to cleave and let all those other things go. That’s key. Amen. Loving this message. The way you talk about Lisa is beautiful. One thing I will stand behind is remaining abstinent during the courting phase. I have been chaste for 7 years and I cannot fathom laying down with some man that ain't my Kingdom spouse. I couldn't say that years ago. I was hot with lust. But now that I know my worth, my body is sacred. Now, the mere thought of it disgusts me. If a man cannot handle that. He ain't the one. That is a non negotiable.
