Don’t Forget Your Roots/Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō is one of our absolute favourite songs to perform live. We’re so proud of where we come from and who we are as Kiwis. Thanks for singing along with us this summer. 🖤
Just saw them last night in LA, after that turn out in NZ, last nights small intermit gathering at the Fonda must have been humbling to the guys, but a bonus for us!!! btw: didn’t know one song, but enjoyed their show!!! Kiwis in da house!!!😉
I was there too! It was wild to me knowing they had this concert in NZ before they left. I wouldnt trade that night in LA for the world though. What a treat for us.
Beautiful thing about here in New Zealand is we have these incredible artists with huge concerts but then you can catch them and say 'kia ora' walking down the street, beer at the pub, at a whanau party or chilling at the beach.
Much respect to the kiwi spirit that bring pakeha n Maori people together surely setting the standard to the world to follow beutifull waiata from a aitutaki fan 💯🌺🌺🌺🌺
I'm a Pakeha but my father was adopted in Wairoa & he was so solid to make his Mōko Tāngata te Whenua and I was obviously lucky to be this. The upbringing he had was so powerful to him and the Māna
Wow simply Rawe so blown away by the wairua toa stirred within my manawa Tumeke Whanau we are united we are Ko Tahi Aroha (One Love) Ko Aroha Manawa (One Heart) Wow...
This reminds me so much of my intermediate school days. Being in the kapa haka group, performing at the regent theatre in palmy, doing some pretty intense kapa haka practice for 10-12 year olds (like a few hours each day) and learning new waiata, learning mahi a wai wai (that is probably spelt wrong) in my class and then like 6 of us teaching all of the other classes in our age group. I had so much fun doing kapa haka and made a real connection with one of my teachers who has sadly sinced passed away. She made me really believe in myself. I will always be a proud kiwi.
What a performance! Been a fan of you guys for the last couple of years. Much love from Malaysia 🇲🇾 Hope I'm able to go to one of your concerts in the future!
