Thank you David, God is in you, in all of us. I understand what you're saying. I sometimes wish staying from sin would be less hard. But making it hard is making us strong. Yet, the world in witch we see darkness can appear interesting in times. "(Portishead-The rip)". The holy ghost is the strength of every christian, yet our feet are still on ground in witch darkness has a tongue. Blessed percistance. we will hold thruth.
saw them live twice. on the second time I swear I saw him take some pills while he was playing. don't know what they were but that guy lost completely his contact with the world after that.
loose the contact to this fucking world. tried this all of my life ?;-) no. saw them and Woven Hand a few times. most of the times he was gone in his/their own little universe and im sure HE dont need no drugs for this. he got his music. the best drug ever. and he believes in god, i guess.
Possible, but not very likely. I saw 16 hp several times; twice I was at the front of the stage in a fairly small venue. Never saw what you described. He does seem to get lost in the experience and there are the dramatic twitches and eye rolls (I suspect that there's a bit of showmanship going on there). From what I know of him from interviews, he's a pretty devout Christian and comes from a pretty strict sect of Christianity, The Church of Nazarene. Additionally, the music scene from which 16 hp emerged is largely composed of evangelical Christians. David Eugene Edwards married young, still married to the same woman and has expressed that one of the things he liked about working with the musicians in 16 hp was that they are all married, family oriented and not interested in the pleasures of the flesh that are often a perk of a musician's job. A really great front man for a band has a bit of a shaministic vibe. They're really good at drawing the audience in and taking them on an emotional journey. David Eugene Edwards is an incredible frontman and he uses his body very well to covey a sense of internal struggle between temptation and salvation. Touring in and of itself is pretty tough on the body and each time I saw them, their van and with rented U-Haul trailer hitched to the back was parked outside the venue so they were definitely getting around the country in less than comfy circumstances. Add in shitty food on the road, less than deluxe accommodations, crappy sleep, and physically taxing performances I wouldn't be surprised if headaches were a fairly common occurrence. I think what you probably saw was him popping some Tylenol to be honest.
xexe we have a strange connection or it is usual saying something like this after every acoustical experience of david eugene's songs...all the holinnes is coming out of his mouth!!!
