Love Sixx AM, but where is the rhythm guitar coming from? The main riff at the beginning, and backing riff during the solo aren't coming from DJ's guitar.
Kaden Birch Sadly, I know. Nikki had the same issue in Motley Crue. I wish he would just let live be live. So you lose a guitar part during a solo, big deal. Let it drop out. It sounds more raw that way. Or, if you don't want to lose parts like that in concert, up the studio band. Make it a 5 piece. Or let James play on stage. He plays everything he can get his hands on anyway. If I wanted to hear studio tracks, I'd stay home and put on the CD. Don't get me wrong, Nikki Sixx is one of my favorite musicians and songwriters. And I love Sixx AM and Motley Crue. I just really wish he wouldn't use pre recorded backing tracks.
I don't believe they do anymore, I saw sixx am in concert a few months ago and from what I could tell they weren't using any backing tracks. It sounded different, but it still sounds great and like something I would listen to over and over. I agree with you, let live be live, and that appears to be what they have done with the newer songs and albums.
Kaden Birch That's really good news! I'm really loving what Nikki has done with this band. The sound. The message. The talent. To be able to add them to the list of true love performers would be awesome!
You can really hear Nikki's bass guitar in this mix here. I have always though that Nikki was a way better bass player than what people give him credit for. Just don't tell Lars.
I God a relative playing and my God composing and amping and me powering the works by seeing it ignite into something that nobody saw possible with so little prep or expense. Min investment, un measurable potential for profit. Keeps the cup full. All of em..
Yeah that's me...they dragged me kickin' teeth!!! I'm still not into the organized church thing...my heritage comes first!!! I'm not changing a damn thing of who I am. Savvy that!!
