So much talent in this girl, It's crazy! I love everything she does, can't wait for the next one. Thanks for another great reaction and have a great weekend.
Great reaction as always, this young lady is going places, just found out she's off to New York as a guest to a Clive Davis celebration mixing with well known artists, WOWZA, so excited for her, superstar
Courtney is one of a kind. By invitation of Clive Davis she is performing at the Carnegie Hall tribute to him on April 29th. Persistence, hard work and talent do pay off!
It will be well worth it. With all the bad luck she has been having, with the cancellation of the Woodstock festival and the like, let's hope that this is enough to get her noticed by more of the public.
Her voice is special, period. For this metalhead, Courtney can sing anything in or out of my wheelhouse (this song is full in that wheelhouse), and I'll listen. She made a bold move going independent, but we are now seeing the real Courtney with no corporate filters. She is producing music she wants to. And her lyrics have meaning. Very excited for her future.
Originals, Covers... the Phone Book, the Oxford English Dictionary (Thesaurus Edition), The Bible... I could listen to her sing all, and any of these. Two years ago, at least, this song was teased. The first verse and chorus were released, and the song was called "Keep The Monsters Away". For some reason, the label held back on the song, so it had to be her 3rd release as an independent artist. I don't know what the record label is thinking, holding back her music, and trying to change her into another generic pop princess, that just didn't work. When she takes off (and I know she will), they will have egg on their faces when they realise just what a golden goose they let slip through their fingers.
I am right there with you, I’d listen to her sing whatever. The label’s loss is definitely our gain. The labels ruin so many artists by trying to use the formula to make some fast cash and move onto the next one. She’s one of those artists that everyone has to trust. She knows who she is and she is blazing her own path. Thanks for your great comment and for watching!
Hi Bob. Great reaction. Courtney can sing just about anything exquisitely. Monsters' is a magnificent song. A true rock anthem, the likes of which we haven't heard in forever. In addition to the fabulous vocals, there is the incredible depth and meaning of the lyrics. A true testament to Courtney's songwriting prowess. Courtney has said that the monsters in this song are all of the insecurities and self doubts that we all wrestle with. In that regard, the meaning of 'Monsters' is universal. They may be different for each of us, but we all have our own personal demons. Just as an aside, 'Monsters' was just voted the 'Coolest Song of 2023' by the listeners of Steven Van Zandt's (Little Steven - Lead guitarist of Springsteen's E-Street Band) Underground Garage Sirius Radio show (1.2M listeners). To hear this song is to love it. Can't wait for you react to 'Christmas Rocks'. That will be another one that I think you will love. I'm not much into Christmas music either, but this song is so cool, that you can't get it out of your head. So big news in Courtney world today. Hot off the presses. Courtney just announced that she will be performing at Carnegie Hall on April 29th. It's a 92nd birthday gala for Clive Davis. Given what Clive Davis has accomplished in music and all of the big names he has discovered and signed, everybody who's anyone in music will be there. The performer list is a who's who of music. So a very big deal. I'd give you the link, but YT will block anything that is a non YT link, but check Courtney's Social Media accounts for details.
LOL!!!🤣🤣🤣 I think Courtney's made peace with her monster too whenever I watch her AGT performances and she puts that innocent smile back on when the song is over. It's like "Did I do that? OK, it's safe to come out now, I put the wild girl back in her cage"😃😆🤣🙃🤣😂🤣🙃🤣🤪💩😅
courtney has grown so much in the past couple of years now she's set free and making music she loves ,good on her i remember that shy young girl from the voice kids uk
The record company wanted to control her, but her as an independent gives us all of these phenomenal songs. I have never seen her produce a bad song. She always nails it!!!!!!!
