fronschka I’ve never found a bralette in my size, but all the ones I do see in stores and online look like they’re just waiting for a pair of boobs to fall out of them. As cute as they are, they just don’t seem to have much, if any, support??
I really don’t think forever 21 is made for adults I think it legitimately is just made for teenagers. I stopped shopping there in my 20s because the cuts just didn’t work for my adult body and I was thin.
same. plus my style doesnt fit with their clothes. my younger sister could shop there as she is part of the apparent target demographic tween/teen. but me as a woman with a child my body no longer fits most clothes even in my normal sizes or a size up.
Jailene Penaloza 19 is a teenager 😉 I've never been bigger than a size 6 but once I hit like 22 their clothes just don't fit right on me anymore. Or maybe it's just a preference thing.
@@destiny13006I'm literally a woman? Lol college girls still shop there, because we're broke. The clothes are affordable and fit us. When you go to college your friends will be all sorts of ages and mine are basically in their 20s. College students are adults.
@@jailenepenaloza5713 lol the fact that you're offended instead of flattered about being young reminds me of being a teenager. It's not meant to be offensive but when you get to your 30s and your body is a little different and you start to prefer quality over quantity forever 21 just stops being your go to. Enjoy your youth dont be in a rush to be older, you are an adult but a young adult nothing negative about that
After I lost weight, forever 21 stuff literally fits me perfect every time. But when I was plus size nothing ever fit and I never went in there. The plus size was too big and they never had 0x the only size that fit me, and size 12 and xl was tight in all the wrong places. They are truly made for small girls at the end of the day and it’s really unfortunate.
@@haileelosser1762 even I am a 10 and nothing fits me right! Even the few times I've been in, a large was way way too small (I am always a medium top everywhere else!) It's crazy. Definitely tailored to slim girls, or even girls with a more athletic body type. Can't squeeze ma hips in 😂 I love their jewelry though!
I feel like they're cut for prepubescent body types, IE no thighs, hips, chest etc. Unfortunately, not everyone is straight up and down regardless of weight.
Sierra I love your attitude. You don't let the fact that something doesn't fit well affect you and it's so empowering to watch. Thank you for leading by example!
I feel like if she just wore a bigger size then there wouldn't be these problems.. and there's nothing wrong with that, it's just a number. That's the problem with vanity sizing too- sure she wears a 12 at some stores, but literally clothing companies will make their clothes stretchier and larger so women feel better about their size. *Cough old Navy cough*
@Sarah Kelly That is interesting, it is the opposite here in the UK, the cheaper shops make the sizes huge but the more expensive shops make the sizing smaller (or what would be considered normal in my Grans day). I tend to buy second hand clothes from more expensive shops on ebay. My dad taught me to rummage in bargain bins too, you are right you can save a lot of money if you are willing to put in the time & effort.
@@ruqqaya Yeah, I'm sorta finding it hard to believe that she's a size 12, only because I'm 5'8" and 190 pounds, and I wear an 18. If I get skinny jeans in an 18, they fit me really well. XL feels tight on me, as far as tops go, but a 2XL is a little baggy. I guess it's just hard for me to find clothes. When I was 170 pounds years ago (I'm old now...lol), I didn't have trouble finding clothes to fit, but I still wore a 14. I haven't been a 12 since I weighed under 150 while I was in my 20s and 30s.
I honestly think old navy sizes are genuine because generally I always use the same size everywhere but a store that makes their sizes too small is pull and bear (not the sizes but the jeans) but the quality is super nice
I know you test the size ranges of clothing brands within the fast fashion market! I think it would be interesting to test the size range of slow fashion, ethical sustainable brands? Would Higher price and quality also equal better sizing?? I happen to know that a lot of smaller ethical brands have a big heart for inclusive and good fitting size ranges! Some brands would include Hackwith Design House, Winsome Goods, Beaton Linen, and Big Bud Press to name a few! Good fit and inclusive sizing does not have to be limited to fast fashion, but also slower ethical alternatives! Love your channel and the platform/voice you give the outliers of traditional sizing!
😂😂 You were talking about mom vibes from that wrap dress, and I was like, "Not me 🙅🙅 I'm not like a regular mom, I'm a cool mom 💁" and then the Regina George mom outfit was next 😂
Blossoming Faith righttttt. It’s so obvious she’s a plus size. The clothes just BARELY fit and are super unflattering. She should stop being in denial or just lose weight. 🤦🏻♀️
She's a size 12 in most brands so she should be an xl. Their sizing is super odd. I'm a similar size and have noticed their charts don't go with normal sizing.
frankensteins_daughter a size 12 in most brands yeah ok..... but according to what measurements? She looks to be plus size. I know people who are actual size 12 and XL she seems to be a 14. It’s like if I, a medium in all clothing tried to squeeze into small. It would probably go on but it would fit in an unflattering matter 🤷🏻♀️
frankensteins_daughter that’s also why when ordering online you should reference the brand’s size chart measurements. But I’ll let that one slide since she allegedly didn’t do the ordering herself.
Gaja Kondić no.... even she said up a size would be better .... not rude honest .... most people know not all sizes are the same ... Size 16 here. Maybe a size 18 in fit there .....
If you sized up would the thighs fit? And then you can take in the waist? I kind of think it's unrealistic to think everything is just gonna fit your body perfectly....
Melody Main fast fashion doesn't qualify for tailoring dollars. Any good tailor should set up shop or at least leave cards in the dressing rooms of consignment and thrift stores.
mary hershelman You can take in the waist easily yourself in just a few minutes. You really don’t need a tailor. I often have to do that because I have a tiny waist (xs skirts are sometimes still too big on my waist) but my hips are more a M
@@kikismiley11 aaand the necessary skill. That's where it lacks for me. Just saying, if I buy a clothing item for 15$ (which I very rarely do) I don't want to have to alter it.
I always love your videos. Even when things don’t fit you right, or are too small, you continue to be positive about your body, and understanding that it’s the size of the clothes you’re wearing, and not your body that is the problem. I’m nowhere near where you are on my own body positivity journey, especially because I’ve only just started recovery for my eating disorder, but your videos have genuinely helped me to see that it is possible to be happy and love the clothes you’re wearing and love who you are, even when you are larger than the typical standard of what body size is considered beautiful. In fact, your videos helped inspire me to try clothes shopping after 2 years of avoiding it and desperately trying to fit into clothes that were too small, and I actually managed to come out of that trip with some new clothes that I genuinely loved that actually fit. And I had a relatively fun time. I kept seeing clothes and thinking “ooh, Sierra said that this style of top is quite flattering, I think I’ll try that”, and whilst I still felt anxiety over shopping and sizing and dressing rooms, I feel like I wasn’t as stressed as I would’ve been clothes shopping a year ago. I’m sorry for the long rambly comment, I just wanted to say thank you for the videos you post and for doing your best to spread a message of positivity and health and loving yourself and finding your own personal style because you deserve to feel cute. I hope you’re having a great day, and I’m excited to see your next video
It’s not that the clothes are ugly or non inclusive, they’re just a little too small, and there’s nothing wrong with that, maybe just go up a size or two.
I literally get 95.999% of my wardrobe from F21!! I wear a 3Xl and just buy the clothes that fits and goes with my style. Maybe you can size up a size Sierra and that may help.
Yes I dont wear a 3x in normal plus size , but in Jrs clothing which is what forever 21 is . I can range from the 0x to the 3x . just get what fits and you can always cut the tag out .
It's so strange to me the way our perception of ourselves can be off. I'm closer to Lisa's size with a curvier frame, but I relate more to Sierra and feel like I look bigger than I actually am.
Alyssa Gomez Same here. I'm a size 2 in jeans, but Lisa looks super skinny to me; while Sierra looks more like how I see myself. It's really crazy just how much we dwell on our own insecurities; someone could look exactly like you but you'd have a totally different opinion of their looks without the time and self consciousness to seek out those insecurities.
Can you please do these over and over again. I’ve always been your size and just recently have fallen in between you two and it’s so great to see how clothes fit on different bodies and it’s comforting to see how different things fit differently on different body types and I love you guys so much
The palazzo pants were so strange...why would they go to effort to line the pants and not line them all the way. And the bandana dress made Sierra look taller. Very cute. And the sweatsuits made you look like you were both Olympic gymnastics coaches.
I love this video so much because Lisa reminds me of what I used to watch as a kid but Sierra is more of a new youtuber for me, so it ties it all together!
Love how supportive you two are of each other!! I’m a diff body type than my sister but I’m also bigger than her. I wouldn’t call either of us fat but we used to be stick thin, and now even my sister is gaining weight, so we’re sort of medium weight. However, my sister often times makes me feel bad about my weight despite my efforts of doing personal training at the gym etc. it’s much easier said than done to just eat right and lose weight. Idk where I’m going with this anymore but just be supportive of your siblings and the people around you!! Health is important but bringing people down about their weight never helps. If anything my sister (and mom too) have made me very insecure about my body, and it shows how important it is to be supportive of one another. They’re both SO beautiful and look great too!!
heat skeet skeet Two responses 1) This shows fast fashions faults and inspire people to thrift because of the quality 2) sustainable fashion in the present has a fault which they are trying to correct - not their fault but how the industry is set up for buying from the actual makers its really hard to get to be inclusive in sizing check out justine leconte who is an sustainable fashion designer and who is trying to Work around it so it might be that they cant find clothes which are just big enough ( a good range in sustainable is 36-44 but most often you Will not see above 42 so a Very small large ) so I Think they are trying not to be mean to an industry which is slowly gaining traction for something they cant help ( normally there are set proportional amounts of clothes you as an designer can order which to me is crazy but it has to do with more cloth in larger articles set of by less cloth in smaller sizes and since the population nowadays is taller, not undernourished the old ways of counting arent doing it - the whole industry needs to raise their production prizes and possibly which some brands have started doing doing paid preorders) but I just changed My mind perhaps it would be good to show the kind of quality you can get even if Sierra most likely cant get into most pieces ( NO hate im about the same size as sierra and I thrift most of My things or do oversize fast fashion which on me isnt oversize because its more fitted than the tents you Will get to get everybody in plus size regardless of bodyshape into the same clothes to save money =)
I always buy Plus Size in forever 21, there sizes usually run small. I would say if your an XL you need a plus size XXL or if your L you need a plus size XL
Hey Sierra! I just discovered your channel and I've been binge-watching a bunch of your videos and I just wanted to say thanks for all the tips on sizing for curvy body types. I'm a stylist and the brand that I work for doesn't really seem to cut things with curvy girls in mind, so it's great to see your perspective, and I've already used tips from your videos at work. It's given me a much better perspective on what things will look like on someone who isn't a size medium everything like me, so thank you!!
Thanks for the sizing tips and tricks, I now have a better idea what I migh find working for my shape there now. Loveeee the content and love my 15 mins with Sierra, you and lisbug are a great laugh and although we didnt see her, we just heard from her, your friend is iconic and I love every video she is in. Xx
i want to go shopping with sierra so bad it would be so fun and she would be honest with you and how the clothes look but still make you feel confident in yourself
I noticed she pops her leg out all the time when she is just standing.
5 лет назад
Sasha Davis I can't speak for Sierra but I realize that when I was a couple sizes larger I would always stand with all the weight on one leg and kind of prop myself up like that, posing all the time. And now that I've lost quite a bit of the weight I stand up straight on both legs and it feels weird to try and stand like that again. Maybe it's a posture thing, maybe it's a presentation thing, maybe it's both? Or probably it just depends on the person and weight has nothing to do with it, but I just never noticed the change before.
I do the pop too. It surprisingly makes your legs look better because your thighs aren’t pressed tightly together at the crotch area. I look ROUGH standing evenly on both legs.. short and wide.
i’m a size 10 and i always get discouraged when i shop at forever 21. things never fit me the way i want and i don’t think the things that do fit me flatter my body! i just never shop there anymore 🤷🏼♀️
I think a video where each of your family members pick your outfit for a specific day (brother picks Monday, mom picks Tuesday, etc.) would be really you! And super fun to watch
I'm a short 30yr old woman who wears size 4 clothes. I've never looked more ridiculous in clothes than when I tried on a short romper. Who looks good in them honestly?
I love a lot of your videos but common. Really? “Let’s be inclusive” they have hugeeee selection for + sized women, just because a certain size doesn’t fit on you, doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t fit on another + sized woman, just try another size! It’s not super hard (:
I feel like I definitely hear both of you. I am not plus size, but I have a very dramatic hourglass. So clothes at forever 21 just never fit right because I feel like they are meant for a different body frame. Like sizing up or down for certain pieces will make the outfit fit my body, but not fit appropriately. At the same time, that just means that I need to either alter them (which I am not as willing to do with forever 21 products) or shop somewhere else. I just feel like women’s clothing is so frustrating since they vary so much with vanity sizing and brand fit. I can definitely see how that’s a me problem versus them problem because I do think they try to create a fit that most people will be able to wear. My body is just weird.
canicula yessss i wouldn’t consider myself plus sized but every time i go to f21 and try on pants i’m humiliated. i’m hourglass for sure... and most of the stores in my area don’t carry plus sized items and if they do there isn’t much of a selection and it’s not sexy. i’m honestly just going to stick to fashion nova.
@@chickennoodlesoup__ I feel this very much. Overall f21 is weird with their sizing like I compared it with some old shorts I bought in their XL and there was some difference around the waist area...in general it's 50/50 for me to find clothing pieces for me because it may flatter my top but then my bottom will look like a potato bag xD I don't mind loose clothing but come on lol. It's why I stick to rue 21 (similar to forever 21 but I noticed rue is more what forever used to carry around 2015ish with a hint of urban outfitters if that makes sense?)
Love you two together!! Great video and I love seeing how different clothes look on different sizes. I also love how you never put each other down or compare bodies to where one is better than the other. Your videos are so wholesome and have such a good message!
US have different sizes comparing to EU sizes, size 12 in EU is M usually (40 in different scale). So whatever I get I have to think which scale is used to describe the clothes.
I want to thank you for showing us bigger gals that we don't have to live in head to toe black and tents covering us up. I lost 70 lbs, I went from a size 24/3X to size 14/Large, sometimes an XL or 16, but usually 14/Large. I recently had the courage to wear prints, off the shoulder tops, and even cropped tops.. And seeing you and a few other larger youtubers further gives me confidence.. I still have a belly, but you know what..? It's okay. I am not going to hide in tents anymore, or worse, 'old lady clothes' that I once over heard my 'friend' saying that I wore.. I ow can shop in the normal size department..yay!! Thank you for giving that boost of confidence..you are adorable!! :) :)
Love ,love love this for every clip you do in this series I feel myself being more and more accepting of My body and would like to ask something you’ll probably do less of these in time (hopefully after including a medium or bigger girl for a couple) but dont stop entirely because this is a valid cause and how We feel about ourselves effect so many things that are not directly clothing related! because its helping so much in terms of not compairing myself but looking at how the clothes are cut on someone else than me with a compairision in diffrent sizes so I can see that the clothes arent perfect on a smaller size either or indeed that they look better on a curvier body and there are pro’s and cons for everyone - We NEED to be reminded of that!
I'm 43 and wear stuff from Forever 21 Red (Canada). I have dresses both small and Medium from them. Get compliments on them, including the flamingo tank dress. My fake suede red ankle boots I love and women are in awe over. Have 2 sweaters I love.
I wear a US size 10/12 and I look much smaller than her so I too believe she is selecting the wrong size. I typically wear a 12 and Large to XL in Forever 21 clothing.
@@Sabrina-wn6ey That's true, however, everyone's body fat distributes differently so even though someone does look like a 14-16 they still could be a 12🤷♀️
I'm size 14 and you would think I'm size 12 tops because of the way fat is distributed throughout. I have a friend who's size 10 but she actually looks like 16 again due to how her fat is distributed.
I keep seeing comments that are saying Forever21 is for teenagers but tbh I’m 17 and all my friends and I never see anything we like from there anymore either lol. I like going online at SHEIN, it’s more affordable and they have WAY more styles. You guys should review them next!❤️
I know that people have different body types but I don’t know that the sizing was correct. Also I liked the first outfit but what even were the second 2 selections
I like some of the forever 21 plus size clothes. Didn’t even know you two have done videos before together. I wore those valour suits too, I’m 37 so they were hot when I was already in my 20’s.
@@MeganSmithers lmaoo the way you admitted it is hilarious. It's okay to be jealous, everybody is jealous of others for something and you weren't even being mean. The person that responded to you could chill lol
So how does that work? RU-vidrs write off items they buy for videos on their taxes. But then you also return them...plus the money you make on the videos from buying those clothes.
Katie H they would need to save the receipt to write it off on their taxes. So if they’re returning the clothes and writing them off they are doing so without a receipt. Most stores have a policy for no receipt returns.
