Another way of looking at it ~ Take the cross sectional SIZE of the relays you're trying to energize.. add them up... The secondary of your control transformer should at least equal that size ( the cross sectional SUM of all your relays you're trying to energize )
Just to say that I really love your contents. You have gained one more subscriber! For unknown reason, some of your videos are rated for "kids" wich prevent commenting. In one of those videos, the one that deals with PF correction, when the capacitor kicks on the current waveshape degrades severely. However, assuming only linear components in the circuit, I cannot think of a reason on why this effect is so severe. PF correction usually does not lead to the introduction of those degree of harmnonics wich severely distort the current waveshape. Just puzzles me :D
I believe it is because electrolytic capacitors are basically made up of two strips of aluminum foil with wax paper separating them and dielectric fluid, the reflective surface of the foil is interfering with the oscilloscope signal. The effect is more pronounced when I introduce more capacitance into the circuit which serves to reinforce that theory.
