I grew up on the black bean noodles but last year I tried the original Chinese version and I think I like it a little more. It's less sweet and gloopy and it has fewer ingredients so it's not loaded up with onions and other vegetables. House of Pancakes on Taraval St. makes a good version with hand pulled noodles.
