Sjogren's Syndrome in Nursing 

I did my Nclex a week ago, and I had this question. The answer I marked was to educate on carrying artificial tear lubricants and chewing candy. I passed mine on the first try and closed at 85. My most used resources were UWorld and The Nursing School Comprehensive Bundle ( during university , by Hesi and ATI)

Sjogren's is slated to be reclassified as a disease as opposed to a syndrome (if it hasn't been done already). Neuropathy is often a HUGE part of Sjogren's - especially small fiber neuropathy (including peripheral neuropathy and dysautonomia). These symptoms can be severe and debilitating -- along with disabling fatigue and pain. Sjogren's can affect nearly ever major organ of the body. Sometimes these symptoms present in patients before the dry eye and dry mouth symptoms even appear. (This info will most likely not apply to test-taking at this time, but so important to know in practice) 💜
