The Name of my Alaskan Malamute is Hati. In this Summer i will get another one...so his Name will be Sköll

Hati means Heart in my language. For it to mean "One who Hates" gives it an all new perspective. hehe

my fav hugin and munin oden says Hugin "thought" is prone to get lost but munin "memory" brings him home i found it so deliighfully warm a strange sort of fondness to the saying i can amost picture odens face :)

How you know that it is Hati chasing the moon and Skoll chasing the sun is because of the symbolism of what the sun and moon stand for. the Sun is often called Sol. that comes from the same word as soul (and son but that is a different topic). the soul is our core/our temple and what is most holy to us. The moon can be seen as the head of the planet Earth, so the moon symbolises our thoughts and emotion. the moon has a pull on our waters and causes our tides. Water symbolizes our depts our deepest emotions. So when Hati eats the moon it symbolizes: when hate eats our deepest thoughts and emotions. and when Skoll eats the sun symbolizes: when all we hold dearest is scolded and ridiculed. When all that is holy to us is mocked and all we do is hate, then Ragnarok is here.

"They're the sons of the biggest badass in Norse mythology" (Jörmungandr would like to know your location.) I mean, I love the Norse mythology but I've gotta give that title to the Serpent that encircles the world and kills Thor. Odin is old by the time of Ragnarok and would be a bit easier to kill, while Thor is his youngest and would still have some youth on his side. Also, Thor is considered by most to be Odin's second in strength and power, and though he does kill Jörmungandr in the end, he dies due to the poison, which wipes out Midgard's people anyway. Meaning not only did Jörmungandr kill Thor, but he defeated him. Fenrir gets killed by one of Odin's lesser sons, Viðarr. Though I'm sure that relatively they are all strong. Viðarr doesn't die in the process.

So this has nothing to do with balance, correct? Rather keeping the son and moon in motion until one day the wolves catch up with the sun and devour it and start Ragnarok.

When I first watched this, I was super confused and every thing felt like it went by so fast. The piano in the background didn't exactly help xD But when I got to it the second time, I'm starting to understand it a bit more. It is simple, it's just that the names catches me off guard and it starts sounding like gibberish, which then loses my attention. That's just me, though, I'm someone who prefers to have subtitles because I have terrible hearings. On the other hand, I am still hearing those pops and it's very noticeable on my headphones :o What is Ragnarok anyways? And how does that give one of the wolf a chance to snatch up the sun/moon?

One more question who is the mother of sköll and hati. I read it somewhere that Loki cursed a woman to turn into a wolf and breed with fin rear but I can't be for sure
