Great video! My school has Gentex Mini Sounders in all the classrooms, and whenever there is a fire drill, those mini sounders are great at making sure everyone knows.

These are the fire alarms in my college residence hall, except ours have the little ridges at the top and bottom of the strobes I think they’re a newer version, also the rooms themselves have the horn only version. Mini only in name and size, these are certainly loud! Maybe not quite as loud as the similarly sized EST genesis that were at my high school but they come close.

I think those were the alarms in the portable classrooms at my elementary school. They were in EVERY room, even the speech rooms (which were probably just bigger than a house bathroom). My biggest fear in elementary school was those alarms, sometimes I had to go out before a fire drill if I was in the portables.

Those minihorns are rather nice alarms. Except they’re not particularly quiet especially on continuous lol

Yikes, mini horns are definite "squealers" and are not quiet at all lol (for the most part tho). Those look like the "later" first generation Gentex GX-90s (circa 1994 - 1995? i believe, since the strobe doesn't have those "reflectors". and also has that silver-colored trim thing around the strobe unit itself, unlike the original first generation). Synchronized versions of the GX-90 wouldn't be a little later till 1997 and after (that being the second generation models with the strobe reflectors). I might be wrong, but that's from my understanding Great video
