Was the filter dirty or blocked because, I work on the big stuff. Oil gets changed when it needs to be changed. As with the filters but we test the oil if it comes back fine back in.
The filter didn't look dirty. However, if it was it would be a major undertaking to remove it and clean it. The whole hydraulic assembly would have to come out.
I had 5 hours on it! I know a lot of oil tanks are dirty when they are manufactured and they don't get cleaned. I wanted to change the oil when I got it but the quick connect wasn't delivered until yesterday.
