A massive payday is on the line as Skagit Speedway hosts the $102,626-to-win finale for the Kubota High Limit Racing Skagit Nationals on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Trey Starks and Rico Abreu won the two prelim nights leading up to the final night, while Abreu, Brad Sweet, Justin Sanders and James McFadden are locked into the A-Main based on their combined points.

@@freedomforever3375 Yeah Kahne had the track record at one time, and nearly bought Skagit Speedway from the previous Owner, which would had been cool if he bought it, but the new Owner(s) have done a great job with all the improvements! I watched Kasey race here before he went to Nascar.

Heck of a payday for Rico. Congrats to driver and crew. Another fast car set up on the final night too. Have always said that Rico is a top 5 driver in sprints. Just give him a competitive car. Again, congrats man, great racing.

They were saying there was over 10k people there. Massive crowd at huset's speedway tonight for the outlaws as well. Has sprint car racing surpassed indycar in popularity?

It's always been more popular. There's over 100 tracks that run some form of sprint weekly in america, 3 national 410 tours, tons of regional tours. Indycar can get 20 thousand to show up to one spot every week. There's no comparison

@@SprintCarMan24 need to put starters on the cars to speed up the show if you want to put Sprint Cars on live TV. I think a broadcast that edits out all the dead time might work but it's been tried and always failed. Short track racing will probably always be on streaming services.

@@raymond3803 I had a 100% driver. Gave it all to him every race. How much did he win? How much did we spend? It never mattered, it was great memories. Back in the 90's my buddy used to set a $1 million budget for his driver. If he wrecked a lot and the budget went over $1 million... the owner starts getting the winnings. By what I remember, they only went over budget 1 time and they still had about 6 or so races to go.

It's impossible to not like Rico. He's as solid a driver you'd ever want to race and as good a guy. He's earned the love and respect of the fans all over the country. He's invested the time, money and effort to build one of the best teams out there. As long as I live, I will never forget Rico jumping off the top of his midget into Bryan Clauson's arms after he won the Chili Bowl. Way to go R I C O. My question is, when are the racin' Gods gonna stop pissin' on Justin Pecks BBQ - - - - - they should be about done by now, you'd think - - WHOA !

That's not true. I don't like him. I don't particularly dislike him. I'm neutral but lean to the dis-like side. Just like jumping into Clauson's arms. Clauson isn't obligated to catch him, but Aberu knew he would. Especially in front of all those people. It's imposing. Just like when Jason Johnson asked Bobbie to marry him in victory lane. What you call an unforgettable moment at the Chili Bowl. I call an unwelcomed forced imposition and an encumbrance. Let's see Rico jump into a stranger's arms at a gay bar or Johnson propose at the pay window, after being lapped twice.

1:44 Direct your attention to James McFadden. Four laps in-a-row. High in 1 & 2. Jab the brake down the backstretch and dive to the bottom of 3. Hang the left front on the lip and rotate the bottom of 3 & 4. That's really pedaling a car. Compare that to the IRL running around Kansas Speedway full throttle, never lifting, or touching the brake, for 20 consecutive laps.
