And what is up with the Guts showing the Outer Speaker Terminals looking like they are the only ones hooked up? In this video we will find out how Skar handles things when things go wrong. People only hate on them because the are cheaper than most other brands and do just as great. Same with IPhone vs Samsung. It's a status thing nothing more nothing less

@@ThomasShelby-uq8cz i owned 2 evl 12's and a 3500 watt skar amp. The subs were supposed to hold 1250rms each. Even in a Skar box and everything installed correctly, the subs were loud but never had a quality sound. They always had a thud in them no matter how the amp was set. Swapped amps to lower power. Made adjustments to no avail. They were new. I talked to my local installer and told him all of this and he said as a professional installer for years, he said that's why they earned the nickname Skarbage. I believe it now. Loud at a low price and lacking in quality. I had 2 PR 15's that were only 350rms each and pissed my buddy off because his high wattage Skar system was no louder. Anyway, each to their own.

Kevin, Devin, and Cuba definitely do their part with customers and go above & beyond. They also know the ins and outs of their products as well. Even if a item fails which don't happen often they replace and make it right as fast as possible

@@robskee4922 no I don't mine gets warm like any amplifier normally does but they shouldn't get to hot to touch. If it's getting really hot you might wanna double check the ohm load and gain settings these amps do require at least good quality 0gauge cable and at least an auxiliary battery. I run mine pretty hard but I've also got double runs of 0gauge and two auxiliary batteries plus 320amp alternator cause I plan to upgrade to the Rp 3500 eventually

Skar has never done me wrong with customer service. Had an issue with a 6x8 and no questions asked sent a new one was here in 2 days. Just ordered 3 amps and all are on the way. So far so good.

My own experience with Skar's customer service has also been very good. I had a question about obtaining part they normally don't sell and they responded promptly to my question during the work week. Part of why I now own 2 EV12 shallow 12 subs being powered by a LP-750.1D amp!

I just had my first failure on a skar product today. And I wouldn't even call it a failure. A VVXv3 10" just had the surround split open a bit. And that's amazing because this sub has been getting nearly double it's rated power for over 2 years. The woofer still works and the voice coil appears to be in perfect condition. I'm going to wait and just get a recone from psi when they start taking orders again. But I can't express how well both Skar and their products have treated me and my friends for the past 3 years. I love their products and their company.

I really like Skar. I've been using one of their bass packages for three plus years now, for upwards of hours a day, through 100+ degree weather down to below 20 degrees and I have had zero issue with them.

For everyone to get their amp wrapped in paper and “unprotected” it says something for the amps. For the way they preform and hold up to everything they prove to be rigid and strong. Great for 4x4 installs

First off I’ve watched a ton of your videos and they are great. Right to the point and show us what we are buying. Love it. I’ve learned far more than I thought I knew. I’m trying to set my sons car up. We currently have 2-12” infinity reference series 300rms speakers. We started with a low budget amp which we quickly found out does not push what it says. Could you possibly direct us to a budget gem to handle these? I’m not sure if I need to match them exactly at 300 rms or over shoot them a bit. What I know is they are 4ohm svc subs. 300rms 1200 peak. Thanks in advance!!! Again great channel!

I recently got back into car audio (mid life crisis ) and everything i have purchased was decided from you and big d(imouttahere)wiz videos . Bought the skar 2k.1 earlier today . Upgrading from a very budget ignite 4000(1000)watt amp which has honestly been an absolute tank for over a year at .8 ohm for short bursts needless to say it gets hot ........ quickly . I also bought (a few years back) the only accurately rated power acoustic amp that ever existed based on your recommendation so thanks a ton

I have no idea about Skar products, nor their customer service - I have zero experience with either. But regarding Amazon, I've been a Prime member for something like 8 years, and still going, and there's a very good reason - I have had a ton of top-notch customer service experiences with them regarding all sorts of things, including simply changing my mind, needing a replacement product, etc.

4 years of daily use later, my skar rp2000.1d is still the best amp I ever owned. Bought it brand new in 2018 and it has never once gone into protect mode.

Just bought this amp off Marketplace. Guy said he only had it for a month. The amp looked so small when he handed it to me. Since I already had seen this Dyno video I purchased it. Got it running 2 12's Kicker L7's in a Kicker ported box only at 2 ohms(1400 rms + more. I did Big 3 upgrade) and it's hitting hard. Never cut off. I ran it for the better part of 3.5 hours. I'm good for a minute. Just got to get the RP-150.4AB for the high's ftw!

Skar has great customer support but after what they put me through idk if i can trust their products again. I ordered a couple 500 watt rms 15's hifonic brutus budget subs yes and a q bomb box massive clacking which is audible clipping. Thought it was the cheap subs so returned them and stepped up my game to the high end NVX 15's cea rated true 1000 watts rms each and still the same noise. Going back to when i got the amp i had to take it apart soon as i got it i heard metal rolling around inside and back in the day i had a hifonics amp did the same was a bead of solder in the skar amp it was a screw. Sent the amp back explaining what i had done breaking the void sticker on the bottom to skar over the phone they gladly took it back. Bought a punch 1000x BD and happy i did but the power i see off these skar amps for the price point makes me drool! Keep in mind the punch will do .5 even though not recommended and may cut the amps life in half maybe less but fosgate is built this amp @ 1 ohm does 1501 watts i'd love to see a dyno at .8 and .5

I got a pair new and both came in 4ft long boxes with just that paper in them. This was a year ago. I called them and they were shocked that Amazon was wrapping in paper. Hey apologized and said they would be going that anymore. I guess it didn't change. Mine work great and I bought the big rp 4 channel as well to match.

I wish I would've read this before I bought 2 meso 8's from them. I made a purchase on November 2 and had to get in contact with them because they still hadn't shipped two weeks later. They said it was a "glitch" and shipped out right away after the initial contact. I ended up getting 1 dual 2 ohm and 1 dual 4 ohm sub, which I ordered 2 dual 2 ohm subs. Contacted them again and they say they don't know how it happened. Still waiting on them to see what they're gonna do and it's November 25th! I think when this is all sorted out, I'll be done with CT sounds! Also, never trust a company that you cannot call and talk to a live person. All you can do is message CT Sounds. Resolutions take way too long this way

How does this one compare to the Sundown scv2000d? I bought that amp a while back, paid a good chunk for it, a little over $500. I see a amp priced like this , with close output, and wonder if i shouldve saved some $$. I think the scv2000d was certified at a little over 2k, like 2100 or something. Just not to sure about the Skar brand

I got one of these pushing 4 12"s, 2 jl w3's and 2 rockford prime dvc 12's .....long story short one of the fosgate took a shit : (......what subs would you recommend, are those audiopipe triple magnet dvc 12' any good or do you recommend something else....similar in price.....I'm running 2.ohm wiring on them so I'm guessing the subs are each getting roughly 350 watts per sub?, any help would be greatly appreciated. ...thanks

I’ve bought two brand new rp2000.1’s and both came with the proper boxing, I also got a refurbed amp and it was like yours with the paper and the bass knob in an envelope. My refurb looked really good though, no scratches.

Hey Ryan, so now that you got the big boy amp dyno how accurate are the readings you were getting using the AMM-1? I have used mind in dyno mode to a subwoofer or subwoofers instead of a dummy load. So just wondering how accurate the thing is.

Ryan Blankenship They meant well I assume but in reality the run is so short that there's little room for such a huge resistance required to create a large difference in output. Unless the materials were absolute garbage or corroded in between the two. But you solved the mystery in the best way to remove any doubt. Thanks for showing us man.

How this with one 15" sub??...I'm doing a budget system in my future show truck ...sucks with a standard cab 4x4 not much room to play with . ..running bucket seats so that took out room running two 12"s.. had one friend telling me make a center console and run one 12 out the back and the other pointing down to the floor ..... but I was thinking run making the center console and run the 15" point to the back to the cab wall .. old school technique backfiring. To get the strong bass...planing to run 8" subs in the doors and 5-6" mids with 3" tweeters?...please let me know what u think .

How is the Bass sound quality on these amps compared to other more expensive amps? Is it still the "You get what you pay for" Rule? I Always spent the money needed back in the 90s but it has changed so much mfg. going to Asia.

I have the skar RP 2021 D amp powering 2 svr d412s. But I am kind of curious as to why I have to turn the gain up so high and even turn on the bass boost on the amps to really get the woofers going. Any reason as to why? Maybe I'm doing something wrong

I've got 2 evl 12 d4 on a rp4500. You're underpowered. I tend to double amp to speakers rms and ran on lower gain which is clean and efficient.

I accidentally ran mine at .4 for a few hours it didn't care up until it turned on protect for temperature i also run cmax lithium so I was at 15.5 volts any higher than 15.8 it protects and just creates more heat than power so been a very good amp for me

@@troyplummer7110 I love my 2 xfl 12s. The ohm load will need to be based off of the amp you choose. With the skar you'll need dual 4ohms and wire them parallel for a final 1ohm load. Personally I went a different route and got the dual 2ohm and ran em @.5ohm on a audiopipe apcl1500.1d for about $160. This was because I've heard the apcl1500.1d is capable, but not rated at .5ohm, and after rise I was closer to .7ohm anyways. After about a year I upgraded my electrical and ordered another apcl1500.1d and left the subs wired in parallel and with my amps strapped it put me in the dirt at .25ohm, after rise .35ohm. And holy shit it was WAY louder my rear view mirror broke off, and radar detector wouldn't stay on the windshield. But I would never recommend anyone try and wire down to .25ohm because after about 6months of daily abuse 1 day I heard a weird sound coming from my hatch and when I looked I saw fireworks for a split second. 1 of the amps went up in smoke. Opened it up and all the mosfets were burnt, a cpl caps went as well. Was the $160 worth it for only 6months of the loudest stereo ive ever had, he'll yea it was!

Skar is good, always seemed like sundowns budget line. The fact that they right-ed there wrong-ed . it says a lot about a company that take care of there people. Rockford and pioneer have always impressed me lately I delt with a new one , dark audio , hands down the nicest people to deal with. It makes a huge difference when the cust service is great. Awesome deal homes .

I may have to grab one of these to match my new 12 evls. Have you done a dyno on the zeus zex3350 3300 watt amp? I've been looking but haven't found one. I'm curious how it does.

i have a concept cc-d 2400a amplifier which are not made anymore and probably hard to find. This thing runs .5ohms no problem, i wish there were some way i could get it tested?

You can you can contact Ryan or Big D Wiz send it to them and they will be glad to test it of course you have to understand that at any given moment something goes wrong you forfeit the bill not them some amplifiers cannot take the testing

This happened to me as well, i got a refurb and the rca's were messed up. I emailed, they emailed me a return shipping label within 10 minutes, i sent it back and got it back in the same week, and it was fine.

I have a serious question out of curiosity. What is the longevity of these amps? I’m currently running a Hifonics amp and I know they are tossed around verbally both in a good and bad light. It has served me well for about 2 years even in a heat index of 112 degrees! It will need to be pulled soon.

I've heard mixed review of these as well in terms of reliability. For the money I would probably go with a Wolfram C2400 instead
