@@rachelwharton4245 Hidden patterns are several parts of the module that didn't made it into the song and was scrapped but the data still exists. Example: An entire module contains patterns. A pattern's name is the order it was created. A module has patterns 00, 01, 02, 04, and 05. During the artist was still in progress of making the module, the artist removed pattern 03 because it either has mistakes that are incomprehensible and cannot be fixed or it doesn't fit to the song. But the artist decided to not, or forgot, to remove the data from the pattern and the module was saved and uploaded to the internet like that. You can recover hidden patterns via these steps: - Add a new pattern. - There are two numbers in the pattern. The one is the position of the pattern and the other is the order when the pattern was created. Assuming that there is no pattern 03, set the order to 03. - Play it. Some modules that are made around early 90s to late 2000s have hidden patterns. Sometimes, several artists delete the data of a scrapped pattern before saving it and uploading it.
Too bad the voice samples aren't in this. The original only plays the music on one side and the voice samples on the other. I'd like a version where both music and voice samples are both played in stereo.
I once emailed Skaven to comment/complain about how the "digital dreams" sample in the original was used in dozens and dozens of other (mediocre) tracks by other trackers. His response was that he sampled it from a FSOL radio show and anyone else could have sampled it from there, too. -_-
OH WOW!!! I love this one, however, I have taken those hidden tracks at the end and started it out with that, then added a smooth link into the original beginning that flows nicely but simply. I have put a link to that here. (As MP3) ... www.dropbox.com/s/gyfaw7d6idtq0cy/Deep%20In%20Her%20Eyes%20-%20Remix%20By%20Blarney77.mp3?dl=0 Hope you're okay with that Skaven! Love your stuff, and have since the 80s! But thought leaving the vocal stuff hidden was quite the waste. Most that have heard my remix seem to love it!
Yeah I'd be keen for that too @soupcan and @MrNobbyNobbsjr .. such a track! I do miss the vocal samples slightly in this one, but to explore these hidden gold nuggets! lovely - I think I 'fixed' a few tracks with hidden bits myself too but never very well..
@Jedibob5 - each column is a separate track for instruments. Each little box with a letter and number like C-5 is an individual note that plays when the tracker scans over it, going downward. So it's basically a digital player piano with tons of functions, and the instruments can be any sample you want. It's a cool and fun way to make music but a little tricky to get into (you have to know a little music theory first).
