Both Skechers boots seem awesome, could do something big. They just need to make them more affordable for all as they only have elite level products at the moment which makes them less attainable
Looks great would have liked them to have tried something a little bit more original because it feels like the SKX are just a GT3 and these seem like a vapor. Not a bad boot for sure just doesn’t seem like they give you enough of a reason to pick them over the current vapors or furons as you said. Especially because the price doesn’t set them apart
If these were made by Nike they would be an instant sellout. Pretty much made a modern vapor 10. Nothing comes close to teijin synthetic. Awesome job by Sketchers but sketchers don't sell lol
I think the Razors are more tailored towards the people that do miss the final two Teijin synthetic upper generations of Mercurial Vapors like Vapor 10-11 and the boots do have that package with a tiny bit of Vapor 14 with the knit tongue along with the usage of carbon fiber that adidas did with x ghosted,Speedflow and early Speedportal colorways. They nailed it well to make a solid pair but I agree with Jay along with many other reviewers and the ones commenting here. The price is really gonna be an Achilles heel especially for a brand that just entered the market and haven’t got the best rep due to copying.
i think that the market of speed boot is a little too focused on slim shape of feet.. as a guy with wide foot i'd like to have a speed boot instead of the "classic" puma future choice (that is very very very good in shape, comfort and stability)... new balance is the only brand that pay attention and make wide fit too but what if i don't like them? Skechers with the choice of put an anatomic shape for the toe sounds like "hey you, we made a wide mercurial at 30€ less" and for me is not really crazy. love the channel, cheerioooo
I think sketchers played it safe with these boots and that’s great. they’re definitely not “new” I would say cause in the past they have released boots before, just not into the competitive market like these have. I will say they had a better launch than New balance did with the Furon and Visaro. I think these are way better looking and perform a lot better too. I am intrigued to try the razor
If anything, Skechers knows about comfort. Weird that they are going full into the football boot market. But fair play to em. It will be interesting to see if any of the pros pick up on them. Oh hold on! Harry Kane ditched Nike for them! So a good start I guess.
Looks nice! But I wish the price was a little lower and as popularity grew they can bring up the price because that price is so close to other competitors
I knew comfort was going to be a thing. When you said it had a wide toe box I was sold. Like why do other companies think squeezing your toes together is a good idea. I like vapors but the toe box is a bit narrow
@@Zaxstar007 as long as the studs are conical, and not too long, you can play with them on AG and FG. Diadora, Umbro, and Adler are all good choices if you want something different too.
The Boot Nerds Podcast is currently on holiday. I had my second kid and just didn't have the time to balance work, podcast, football and family. Is it coming back? Maybe - only the future can tell. /Jay
According to you, Question for good dribblers: what is the key or what are the keys to dribble and eliminate an opponent and what should I do when I am in front of an opponent and I want to dribble and eliminate him ? I am a winger
Change of pace, go slow, then accelerate to catch the opponent off guard. Always check the body posture of the defender to know which direction you should go to make it harder for them. Use simple body feints, nothing fancy, they are pretty effective and they just work.
Example 1: According to you, Question for good dribblers: what is the key or what are the keys to dribble and eliminate an opponent ? I am a winger According to you, Question for good dribblers: what is the key or what are the keys to dribble and eliminate an opponent ? I am a winger Example 2: Winger: Quality and what to do when I come across an opponent who keeps holding me in 1v1 and I want to dribble and eliminate him I had a question to ask you, I wanted to know if I have the necessary qualities to be a good dribbler, I have good ball handling and a good ball touch, I have normal speed, I do 1 .74 meters, but the problem is that in truth I don't know what we need and what to do to dribble and beat the opponent, especially when he contains me, when he throws himself it's pretty easy, but when he contains me well I don't know what I need as a quality and what I have to do to dribble him and eliminate him, any advice on how to remedy this ?
@@JSA-Studios If a defender contains you, it doesn't change anything. Change of pace, start and stop, or you can either use some tricks(stepovers, elastico etc..) if you feel confident and can do them. The key is catch the defender off-guard, small movements can distract them from the ball and then you can take your chance and accelerate. You need to have quick feet and good ball control for that, which is something you can train if you're still young. Otherwise, if you face a defender who is very good and hard to beat, you could look for a teammate, play a one-two or pass the ball and look for some more space to get it back later. You do not have to dribble the defender every opportunity you get(if you can though, good for you). After all, your ultimate goal is to help your team progress and get closer to the goal.
@@midihenry The change of pace is for players who are explosive? but so if the defender has better explosiveness: better acceleration than me. I could never dribble and eliminate him
Just buy what suits your feet. Some people prefer a wider fit, so they might get this. Then again, this boots are a bit too expensive. But hey, atleast there are options. Who knows, this boots might even be more durable than Vapors. Not saying they are. But who knows?
I agree. If you are going to make high end football boots then at least try to do your own thing. But then again.....this is Sketchers we are talking about .. 😂
Mr @popomaz92, to be precise, Mercurial Vapor upper was never build half in microfiber and half in txt/skin material package, despite the 32 years of Nike Global Football history!
I was speaking to the football community 😅 but to wake up to a reply from Jay @ Unisport ❤🙌🏻 dream come true! Your reviews make me buy more boots than I should. God Bless Jay🇲🇽🇺🇸
This is the only reason why I might not get them even though the Vapor 10 and Vapor 14 were my favorite boots. Some other people have said they’re responsive so 🤷🏽.
A boot is not going to make you speedy. If you are a tub of lard and buy the best “speed boots” on the market you’ll be a fat bloke in an expensive pair of boots…….not Mo Salah. Adding Carbon fibre to a boot is pathetic, other than to say you have an exotic material which makes the boot more expensive it serves no other purpose. Don’t buy into any deluded talk that tells you otherwise.
I feel like pulling up to the pitch wearing sketchers your going to be clowned, not that it matters but be honest for that reason alone why not just go get Nike or Adidas which have been in the sport for decades, the only reason is if these were affordable, which they are not.
