@The blind squirrel For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16❤️
the thing is, its not even clear what he asked, was it 9 - 3 / 1 / 3 + 1 or (9 - 3) / (1 / 3 + 1) the first one's answer is 9, the second one is 4.5, still, no sight of 1
@@MaskMcGee well its perfectly fine to understand 1/3 as 1 divided by 3 (i always write division with slashes). i get your point but the answer of 9 is still valid
Foolish actually isn't wrong for the maths question, it's just the way Skeppy phrased it. Because he used the word "divide" instead of "/", Foolish calculated 9-3 first instead of 3 divided by 1/3
Been here just in time for the birth of the 14 meme it literally became a thing for the second or third video I watched and it’s been great to watch it grow from there
At the end when foolish was trapped, the first thing I thought was. “Well I didn’t know this was an episode of Redstoner…” If someone gets this reference, you are amazing!!!
For people wondering about the math equation, PEMDAS states that you divide first, so by taking 3 and dividing by 1/3 (aka multiplying by 3), you get 9. The following normal left to right procedures, you get 9-9+1 getting 1.
I kept thinking it was nine because in my mind the question was: 9 - 3 / 1 / 3 + 1, so 3 ÷ 1 is 3, 3 ÷ 3 is 1, 9 - 1 = 8, 8 + 1 = 9, so 9 was my answer xD
@@justinmplayz8809 yup i realized that after thinking about it for a few minutes (yes, i really did pause the video for a few minutes just to do a math problem LOL). it makes sense now, and i just tested it on the google search bar and google also sees them both differently.
For everyone confused about the math: The question was 9 - 3 divided by 1/3 + 1 Because of order of operations(PEMDAS), you do the 3 divided by 1/3 first When you divide by a fraction, you turn it into multiplication and flip the fraction This becomes 3*3 which is 9 Then, you are left with 9-9+1 You solve from left to right because addition and subtraction are on the same level on the order of operations, and end up with 0+1=1
Skeppy made a crucial mistake on his math question. It was supposed to be ambiguous so that the answer could be 1, 4.5, or 9 depending on how you simplify and apply PEMDAS/BODMAS, but when Foolish asked if it was all a fraction Skeppy said yes. That means it went from what Skeppy meant (9-3/(1/3)+1) to (9-3)/(1/3+1). Notice how it has to be -3/(1/3), not having it as one third is how you get 9. That mistake meant the answer was no longer 1, but rather 4.5(18/4), making Foolish correct when he said neither. Skeppy must've not been paying attention or thought Foolish was asking if the one third, not the divide by, was a fraction. Regardless, that mishap ultimately meant Skeppy was indeed wrong as he led Foolish to believe the whole question was a fraction, when he only meant the one third.
I love how everyone in the comment section is struggling with the math portion, but technically the “neither” option was correct but foolish solved it wrong 9-3 = 6 6 divided by 1/3 = 18 18 + 1 = 19 when dividing a whole number by a fraction you’re multiplying by the denominator (Pemdas doesn’t apply to skeppy’s question because there’s no parentheses)
Skeppy actually wrote 9 − 3 ÷ ¹⁄₃ + 1. Skeppy said ¹⁄₃ is one-third which implies 0.3333333... thus 3 ÷ 0.3333333 or 3 ÷ ¹⁄₃ is 9 because if you divide a fraction you just take the reciprocal and multiply across. Therefore 3 ÷ ¹⁄₃ is also equal to 3 * 3 = 9. Now with that out to the way, what you have left is 9 - 9 + 1 which is trivaly, 0 + 1 = 1. So, Skeppy was actually pretty clever writing that math question out.
the skep channel feels like you take skeppy content, then make it less for younger children (not dissing his main, its still good content) and honestly i love it so much
the answer to the math problem is actually 19 because the calculator Skeppy used is google. google is stupid. 9-3 = 6, 6 divided by 1/3. 6 has a 1 over it already. 6/1 divided by 1/3. to divide by fractions you have to reciprocate kcf- keep change flip. which gives you 6/1 times 3/1, cancel the ones and 6 x 3 = 18. 18 + 1 is 19. the answer is 19. unless, you do complex fractions is simplifying rationals, which is algebra 2 math, and I think that isn't what skeppy was going for. Therefore, I, a junior in High School, outsmarted a 21 year old man. (u_u)
@@OceanBacon24536 I got the same thing so I was kinda confused I am still a middle school student so you can say he got outsmarted by someone even younger 😌
FOR FOOLISH: ok so PEMDAS = parentheses, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction 9 - 3 / (1 /3) + 1 PARENTHESES: 1/3 can’t be simplified EXPONENTS: none MULTIPLICATION: none DIVISION: 3 / (1/3) = 3*3 = 9 so now we have 9-9+1 addition and subtraction happen at the same time so we go left to right: 9-9=0 0+1 = 1
Skeppy says in the video that it's the 3rd, yet it is the 8th. This implies that it takes about 4 or 5 days for videos to get edited. Divide it by 2 because we are see the PIC of both, so it takes maybe usually 2 to 3 days. I was bored so I did this.
The answer is actually neither. You could rewrite that equation as (9-3)/(1/3+1). You do parenthesis first which simplifies to 6 divided by 4 thirds. 6 divided by 4 thirds is 4.5 The answer is 4.5
I've just lost my dog of 14 years last night and this vid is the first thing to put a smile on my face and to let me get the peace of mind to some sleep in I don't know how many hours, so thank you for making vids for us..I love your channel

@@pizza5658 It's wrong because of the way it's worded tho. When you say divided by 1/3 + 1 it makes it sound like it's (9 - 3) / (1/3 + 1) When you put one part in words it creates a separation between 2 parts of the equation, making the answer different If it was 9 - 3 / (1/3) + 1 then sure
