Don’t feel bad about the less successful drawings. It’s surprisingly very reassuring to us less talented mortals that even professional artists have ‘off’ days.

I always love seeing your beautiful drawings, but today I really appreciated seeing the drawings you aren’t so happy with - I recently started a “freehand” sketchbook and have been slightly uncomfortable with the lack of control. It helps to see that if I make a “bad” drawing it doesn’t matter, I still drew and I still learned something!

Hi, Koosje. You won’t remember me but way back during sketchbook school with Danny I took several of your courses and watched all the videos. It changed my life and I’ve done a lot of sketchbooks and other artwork since then. What an absolute treat to watch this again it was like a breath of fresh air. I have always loved drawing. But especially the past 14 years I have been learning new techniques and got hooked on drawing in my sketchbook. I now draw daily, even if sometimes it’s just 5 minutes. it has become part of my daily life.
