i love it when someone is showing their drawing and go "oh so that was an exercise, i think i had 5 minutes for this one" and non-artists are like "HOLY SHIT YOU DREW THIS IN 5 MINUTES" while artists are more like "yea make sense" or "yea i did the same exercise", it's just so funny

I adore your style and loved watching this sketchbook tour! It brings back memories of visiting Edinburgh for me, and your illustrations and narration were so calming. I hope you don’t mind but I took inspiration from the way your made the very start of your video - I thought it was so clever - and I used it in my first sketchbook tour. It’s the biggest compliment I could give, I loved it that much. Can’t wait to see more Magali!

11:08 i'm sorry to hear you weren't happy about it but for me, i paused the video for like 10 minutes just staring at it because it was so beautiful. the one on top reminds me of the time i was on a hike with my friends, and i remember being really frustrated that my photos couldn't capture its beauty, but somehow you did in the corner of your sketchbook. don't be too hard on yourself! your art is incredible :)

I have been thinking a lot about becoming more ecological when it comes to making art. So one crucial thing is pens: it's so much plastic that you just use and throw away so I have started to look into the fountain pens and inks. Sadly there's not many inks available that are water proof and I think that drives people then to buy the disposable pens like sakura. Sadly most of the brands you mention aren't available where I am. And I hear currently there's difficulties on getting inks so I guess it's the shipping problem but also the ingredient problem possibly. Thank you for showing your sketchbook!

People are always crazy about sketchbook tours of course, but I must say, I'm full of exitement and inspiration for years to come after watching this myself 8D Thank you so much for sharing and good on you for picking up the courage to film this - see, it was all worth it ^^ ♥ what a wonderful assortment of ideas and (to me) finished gouache paintings in your style - herzallerliebst is the word. And your Edinburgh doodles are/were a wonderful way to preserve memories of that special time. They have to be my favorites, you give so much "personality" to buildings and landscapes as well as your people drawings.
