Here's a speedpainting of a watercolor piece I did at the coffee shop today! The whole think took me almost two hours. I used a mixture of Shinhan watercolors, prismacolor pencils, Pentel Pocket brush pen, and a white Signo gel pen.
Sorry about the angle! I have trouble with this because I am left handed and draw with my paper completely sideways, but if I put the camera on the other side my arm would get in the way :( I need to invest in a good tripod, but it is kinda awkward setting that up at a coffee shop haha.

hello to every artist here, when i use watercolor, when i paint the hair, it bleeds to the skin or the bg to the hair any suggestion that can avoid bleeding to a different part?

chii hasagi When you paint the skin, let it dry completely before you paint the hair. If it's still a bit wet, colours can bleed into each other

chii hasagi make sure you're drawing a preliminary outline as well. the colored pencil will help prevent bleeding

Maybe try drying it with a hair dryer instead of leaving it out to dry or leave it out to dry and start working on something else that makes the wait seem shorter

When I'm painting skin tones, for Caucasians I use a peachy color, and dilute it. if you don't have a peachy color you can use a very light touch of brown, some blues, yellow, orange, rosey. you can play around and get all sorts of skin color types. I hope that helps, I'm not good at explaining things

I make a mid tone out of red-orange, dark seinna and Brown and dilute it with water to make it lighter

No problem! I suggest the watercolor paper from canson, i use it and it works pretty well! I also use watercolor paper from fabriano, but its a bit more expensive

Your style is beautiful but I feel like in this picture the ear was slightly big and funny lines on it rather than following the true curves of the ear. Still an amazing piece and you are so talented!
