Petite female here giving a big thumbs up for the Blizzard Black Pearl 88. There's a reason it's one of the top (or maybe the top) women's ski. I also have the women's Powder Town jacket and it's great. It has a zip-in interior which you can remove for the warmer spring skiing days, and you can use the interior jacket separately, which I do spring, summer, and fall for other activities.
Thanks for the information on these great deals. That’s an amazing deal on the Rossi experience 86 basalt. How would you say that compares to Black Crows Octo based on your skiing experience with them?
QST92 or Sender94? Asking because found good deal on those. Also wonder if after all the reviews you did, has your mind changed on QST92 or any other ski that got close to that for north east.
@mcleanirish agree. I liked both, but the Maverick is just easier and more fun. Amd the performance ceiling is not much lower than the kendo. Most people will not miss it at all
as someone who is borderline obsessed with deals on skis, I have noticed that the cheapest prices of the season have shifted in the last few years. Traditionally April and may have been some of the best prices, but I have noticed the last few years August/july seems to be rock bottom. I wonder why there is a change in the market??
Picked up my 2024 QST 98 skis in June. Happened to catch a place having a SUPER sale and got them for $409 with tax. Got Look SPX 12 GW bindings from Evo for $172. I'm just waiting for the snow (and maybe another pair of skis in the 80-90 range)!
I’ve really wanted a pair of Maverick 88 TI’s seeing how much you sing their praises I went with your advice and got some QST 92s for last year and they really helped me excel in trees, moguls and powder. You are definitely right about Ski prices. I was able to pick up the Mavericks for under $400 and bindings at about 150. I’m so excited to make them my VT skis and keep those Salomans out in Utah.
I got a pair of Black Crow Atris the last couple weeks of the season. For anyone who is on the fence for that ski, just go for it. They charge hard. Great ski, however they do feel just a little dead when it comes to pop. Like a 6/10 on the pop scale.
Crazy to think this Stockli Montero is discounted pretty heavily, and STILL is more expensive than a custom ski from Meier, same price as ON3P customs hahaha
@nilecaprez9801 I skied my Kastle mx 74 at sun valley for a full vacation. I stayed on trail 100% of time and thought they were excellent. On the last day I actually went to the demo shop because I wanted to try something different. I asked the shop Tech what he would recommend, and he pointed to an entire wall of kastle mx 74s ( the ski I brought from. Home! Lol) I think as long as you have another ski for softer days and fresh snow, you'll be just fine on a 75.. if you're truly looking to carve, buy under 80mm
don't sleep on evo's price matching! They beat any competitor's price by 5% I believe. I got my Bent 110 on 7/24 for $392.34 just because some random shop that had them for sale for $411 with free shipping. I submitted the info on the evo site and got a reply with that lower price in about an hour! Stupid easy!
Hi Elliot damn you've really wetted my beak with Rossi Experience 88, I swore I was done buying ski equipment this yr but $299 for a killer carving trainer ski think I'm gonna break down LOL!
I'm getting hybrid setup (resort/back country) I bought Salomon shift pro 110 saved 350.00 CAD and 350.00 CAD on marker kingpin bindings with the savings it pretty much pays for the skis I'm getting PS I envy at the prices you folks pay in the U.S
Hard to say, honestly at the point in their learning I would prioritize a ski that's comfortable and turnable just so they can get mileage. Then maybe Check out the Elan Ripsticks, I've got a full review on them on my channel. Also this comment will be featured on my next video so keep your eyes open for it.
