Haha, rain just makes the snow softer (and keeps the crowds away). If you get 2" of white stuff at the back end, bingo. That's a good day my friend! Yes, skiing the east. 46 years and counting...

Was out at bigsky a few years back, and we went to the top on the tram. On the ride up a ski patrol was telling everyone that the snow was hard at the top and you might be better of just riding back down. They had no idea, that snow was like butter compared to an average day in the east.

As an east coast skier who migrated west, and ended up back at my old ski hill back east, stay out west. It’s a totally different sport. I’ve turned soft these days. But I’ll be out first chair tomorrow morning, after our 6-8” capped off by the typical rain…
