This is a shorter compiled version of the best bits from my previous video which is nearly 2 hours long. Showcasing why I would say are the best moments I got from June 2023 at Skiathos
This video features the famous Skiathos airport. Which includes a high risk visual approach and landing over water and across a busy road at the threshold of the runway with aircraft coming just metres from your head on arrival to runway 01 and also with departures being breathtakingly close to spectators! The entire approach and runway is visible from this well know spot at the end of the runway.
This airport is commonly referred to as the European St Maarten. But having been to both I would suggest that no airport is like Skiathos in terms of how close you can get to the runway action. So in my eyes this airport is the ultimate location for low landings and Jetblast departures!
This year I didn’t manage to get to the spot on the hill like last year, so check out last years video if you want to see that perspective too, however there was a location just round from the threshold which I tried out which can be found a few times in this video

Some days are a lot busier than others
Sadly I came a week or 2 too early this year as some airlines hadn’t started summer ops as of yet so I’d recommend coming at the end of June earliest for the best action!
And also as seen in the video I got some pretty adverse weather which adds another dimension of fun with some wet runway action and diverts
[Disclaimer] Nobody in this video was seriously injured during the JetBlast however it has been known to happen due to people underestimating the serious power and danger of jet engines, this is done at your own risk and can be enjoyed safely within limits.
