Nice little video. Reminds me of some of my visits to Skiathos. My first visit 30 years ago. Last visit 2018. I dont think the main town has changed much since my first visit, other than the locals tidied up the paving around the harbour area. Ofcourse a lot of the older bars have gone and been replaced with new ones. I remember Admiral Benbow pub, Albatross pub, La Piscine nightclub (now is hotel), Skorpio nightclub, Lemon Tree cafe in the town. I think once someone tried to open a McDonald's but thankfully no one used it so that was the end of commercialisation, which helps the town retain its traditional charm. For me the island has developed more outside of town, especially in Troulos area. That area used to have hardly any development back in the early 90s, but now it is thriving little community - very nice alternative to staying in the town and a good half way point in the island to use as a base to tour from. The only place that I think isnt as good as it used to be is Koukounaries beach - I was horified when I visit in 2018 - waaaay too busy with parasols and sun lounges - it was much nicer back in the 90s without all those cluttering up the area and people just lay on their towels on the golden sand. Thankfully, the island has plenty of other really really nice beaches to visit. Anyway, love the island, the cute little churches, the windmill restaurant near the runway, the great work the staff do at the dog shelter and the airport landing is always fun :)
Hi 👋 Skiathos is amazing we absolutely loved it! Some of the beaches were super busy, we have never shown it as we only just got there looked around and left.
Been here many times over the last 20yrs.. expensive place these days...but always cheaper on the back streets and very oftern better food and service..great vid... thanks for posting.⚓🐟⛵👍
Hi 👋 you are right it is expensive unfortunately 😕 we were actually very surprised by the prices but we still loved the time we had in Skiathos 🥰 thank you for the comment 😊
Great video!! Nice to see what the town looks like at night, also love the options of food in town 3 Euro soulvaki my favourite 😋 And nice to know the happy hours !!! They are the best hours of the day!!😊
Hi 👋 no we didn't as it was too far. We caught a bus and shared a taxi on a way back. We just approached people waiting for taxi in town and asked if they going the same way 😉 every time people were happy to share a taxi and cost 😉
Pięknie to wszystko wygląda takie oświetlone. Super. Miło wypić jakiś koktajl w którejś knajpce. 🍹Uśmiałam się z tego pana za Wami co robił miny do kamery. 😂
We always avoid The Cushions and The Steps for drinks, it looks very cool but the "Happy Hour" there is more expensive than normal prices elsewhere. The back streets are the best value for food and drinks and people watching. xx
Not really a video about Night life 😴. Just going from bar to bar looking for happy hours and eating cheap food. If you want that sort of holiday go to Benidorm or magaluf. This video no help really. 🙄
7E is decent for a cocktail nowadays and you can pay up to 12E easily. Prices have got silly over last 10 years for Cocktails but food and beer/wine etc is more reasonable.
@@tonyflanagan5682 Hi 👋 ☺️ yes prices are a bit silly now. These prices where in the middle of last year before that price increases, God knows what the prices are now
