You mean to tell me that Ski Don't was too Cheap to put a tachometer on that thing 😂 ! , I thought all the older Formula Plus's came with a Tach🤔?, those are actually fun older sled's, the last 🛷 sled I owned was a 1979 Ski-doo Blizzard 9500 plus 440 dual 38mm Mikuni's, Dual expansion Chamber Exhaust, an 80MPH sled at the time it was pretty Fat👍
You would be very surprised what a carb balancing(sync) will do for performance. it's really funny, a guy will take his motorbike to a shop for servicing and sync but don't do his skidoo or outboard. It is the same principle. Especially since on cyl runs hotter than the other
Just found your channel a cpl days ago . Good so far . Will be interesting to see where you go with it .. Hope it works out and your able to grow the channel ... Where abouts in NH are you ... I'm in the lakes region....
Hey Dan! I’m in the lakes region area as well. Near Laconia. And thanks for watching I got a few more projects I’m recording now hopefully will be out soon!
It was running beginning of last year. We knew the previous owner. That’s why we decided against it. Now a few sleds coming up in future vids yes I wouldn’t run the gas through them.
James is right. If that gas is a year old or older. Always drain it. And do the same in the spring too when you put it away. . Then start it and run it until it runs out of gas. You'll never have fuel or carb issues again. But Cheers. Love your video :)
And don't forget. While running it out of gas, Invest in some engine fogging oil, Spray it in each carb alternatiing as well while running it out of gas too, Then all your crank/Rod bearings are good and coated protecting them all summer from moisture, Then pull out the plugs and either spray oil in each cylinder, or squirt two cycle oil, Turn the motor over a few times. Then center both pistons to the equal height of eachother, Spray oil again in each plug hole. Put the plugs back in. And your engine is stored ;) :) And leave the gas cap slightly loosened. The tank can breathe better all summer long. And you'll have zero moisture come next fall anywhere , Let alone old gas :) Cheers again
