Almost cried after watching this 9 years later. I used to watch this all the time when skiing was absolutely the only thing I cared about. I still shred all the time but my god were those younger times something special
remember watching this my first year learning to ski in 8th grade. something about the song and the video are just so nostalgic and makes me feel warm inside.
Amazing what you can do with skis once you reach a high enough skill level. And the cool factor in this video is through the roof. Skiing is no less cool than snowboarding
I am not new to skiing. Last time I skied was back in 2011 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. As a native of the southernmost part of Texas, I feel that I'm such an awesome skier. There is no skiing anywhere in Texas, from El Paso to Beaumont, Amarillo to McAllen or from Laredo to the Arklatex. I can't wait to ski again.
When somebody tells you they don't get why skiing or snowboarding is so addicting "I mean you're just going down a hill and coming back up" (exact quote from one of classmates) show them this video and say: imagine yourself doing that and landing it, that's the feeling I get when I first landed any trick. If they do sports themselves like soccer, say: remember when you first did an atv succesfully? That's the feeling I get everytime I land a new or a hard trick.
I've got my first skiing holiday booked for next winter. I'll probably end up doing this by accident and end up in a body cast on the first day. All jokes aside incredible footage even if it does give me vertigo!
