This little skied area of Whitefish Mountain Resort provides almost a BackCountry or Helicopter ski feel yet its available for a standard lift ticket ! I skied it on a minus 5 degree day yesterday !
That has not been my experience. I find powder patches like I did here even several days from a snowfall. Maybe I shouldn't have made this video hahaha
Off-piste, hardly "backcountry"!! You're inbounds. Head up Hellroaring Peak or go to Canyon Creek. The area you are in is controlled for avalanches and patrolled. Also hardly powder. More like wind pack. Glad you had fun.
ya it is , it was powder on the mountain side but not so much once you get down in the more heavily skied area. But my boys skied today and they got another 6 inches !!!!
