Nice one . I was there last year (first season of the new gondola) : the landscape is breathtaking. It seems it was the afternoon, I went there at the beginning of the day, I had an amazing point of view on the Ecrins and Aiguilles d'Arves (SW/W) from Les Menuires. Then skiing with the Mont Blanc and la Grande Casse in front of you, magical. This new gondola is so great for "La Masse" ski area. Last year another new gondola lift opened at Orelle to reach La Cime Caron faster. Great in good snow conditions (south oriented slopes, steep = icy most of the time).

Yikes, look at the size of the chairlift que's. 😲 Hope that isn't normality.
