Watched this hoping to see the last leg to Zermatt and found you faced exactly the same conditions I did thirty years ago; never did go back to complete a very beautiful and achievable epic!

Sorry for you couldn’t do the final to legs down to zermatt. Remember some heavy climb to cabane Bertold. And very nice descend to zermatt, in 2009 April. Nice video and good music.

Brilliant Video! Nostalgic since I hiked the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt & then Saas Fee many years ago during late July! I well remember the epic Cabane des Vignettes en route! Thanks for reviving some personal memories!

The problem of the «Haute Route» Chamonix - Zermatt are not the skiing downhill sections but the difficult steep climbing sections. - A correction: Arolla is not located in Italy but in Switzerland.
