My fav. We skied it a few weeks ago before this new dump, and many of the CPR chutes were not even passable...hidden rock bands blocked everything. Loved it, really dialed in my tech skills. No cheating lol. Your crews leg strength is impressive :) I'm at LL this Saturday (my hill)…wish I could have linked up with you guys!
James super nice riding the Horse, awesome resort, does not quit. If that was Saturday the 10th the vis was so bad at times I wanted to start drinking beer instead. Now off to the Lake? That's my hill baby. Enjoy and Peace Out.
Another great video. We were out there march 2 to 9. It was amazing. They kept opening more and more terrain all week after the big storm. It was blower every day. Would love to hook up for a run sometime. We plan to be back at the beginning of march again next year. Love your content. Especially kicking horse. Best mountain on earth!
Ahhh yes...the fuzzy middle graces us with it's presence, at long last. I knew you were holding out, you dirty lil' doggy!! I love the coming home runs at Horsey, too. First time we skied there, it was milky visibility, but snowing like a mofo. I didn't find it as scary because I couldn't see jack. When we skied it this year, we got a blue bird, a day, or two, after a dump, and it scared me just watching some of the hikers heading up some of those ridges. I was all like what?!? Nooo... As we were dumping it into Bowl Over, I was looking at that face across from the ridge, T1 I believe, with the hanging foot bridge, and I just about pooped my ski pants. Then as my spousalhuman asked me to snap a shot of her in front of T1, my ski popped off, and then I almost pooped the ski pants, again. Needless to say, it was a kick-ass-sick-ass run anyway, and we made'r down whole. Welcome to Costco. I love you.
K Home! ❤ #HoofHearted! I picked up a couple of Rocky Talkies at the beginning of the season for me and my spousalhuman, so that we can communicate more easily when touring, ... but they also come in very handy at K-Ho, when I'm up on a ridge dropping in and spousalhuman has taken a run down in the valley. A lot less shouting and wild gesticulating when trying to communicate. Likely reduces the entertainment value for onlookers, but dramatically increases the safety and communication factors for us...highly recommend. On to #theLake!
The rocky talkies are such a helpful tool. I'm laughing my ass off imagining watching you attempting a conversation with your spouse from the top of T1. Would have been a good show from the Eagles nest patio!
Was in Banff a few weeks ago and showed my buddies your first video. It convinced them to go March 4th. Absolutely unreal resort. T2 hike was so gnarly, fresh lines at 2pm two days after a storm. Almost immediately started planning another trip out there next year. Hope they open Ozone or Whitewall when we're there.
Stoked you convinced the boys to visit the horse! Best place ever eh. Ozone rocks so I'd love to ski it again next time I'm there. Always best to plan the trip for post FWT so they don't keep it closed off.
Hey rise and alpine. I’m going to Red, Baker this week. Might do Whistler/whitewater too. Any chance you might be around? If not, that’s cool too! Haha. I’m probably gonna arrive at Red tomorrow.
Siiiiick. Just looking at lodging for Mon-Tues.. Gonna let these systems roll up. Plus my ankle's fkd from fernie Monday or I'd be right there with ya's. Taking wife to Castle in am. Have a blast!
So... here's the 'thing,' feller. I'm just looking at the forecast, and it looks like there may be some more silliness on the storm front. Castle got dumped on all day, 10+ accum. Still getting dumped on, currently 12 cm on the board, since 4 pm. Sadly, I ate a face full, of all kinds of shit, at Fernie, on Monday. And what a run it was, too. Getting a little too cute, tryna dump speed on a steep section of run, skii rolled over the outside edge, leg tucked, and I twisted knee, to ankle, yard sale incl.. Now here's the conundrum, the sprain is getting much better over last 3 off snow days. Gaining range of motion back, pain is diminishing, swelling reducing. Do I book that Travel lodge Golden for Mon or Tuesday, or do I act like a pussy and take care of my knees & ankles? Any help, or advice, in this regard, would make my day, eh bud...
I was secondhand stoking throughout that video with a smile on the dial. That's what friends are for, turning questionable decisions into epic memories
Good gracious, man! That was quite the return to BH! Kudos to fearless fucker, Rob for being the lead descender on Dutch Wallet! That’s a freaky dicey “drop in”! The place had a totally different look than last time. Clouds and flat light can be a little tricky. You were blasting it though! BH is definitely a hardcore skiers paradise. Btw, just ordered a bottle of burn ass and a bottle of the smokey. Looking forward to them!
Ha! “The good old Dutch Wallet otherly know to me as the Pants 👖 shitter 💩” …I LOVE THIS CONTENT! Great work boys! That whole rope thing with the Dutch wallet is crazy!
