Bring on that NW flow and some powder. Your line in the FWT was insane. I was watching the comp at Steven's Pass and the entire place was rooting for ya. Way to send it !!!!! Yeeeeewwww!!!!!!!!!
Been watching the black diamond series all winter in prep for my trip to whis in two weeks time! Was stoked to see you on the fwt and still think you had the sickest line. Your tomahawk snow dance ritual seems to have pleased the mountain gods and blessed the costal mountains with some in bound precipitation, LFG Stan!
You make it look too easy! It took me 4 years to line up the right combination of snow conditions and cojones check off H3 in my copy of the book. Fun fact, the day this last December when I finally got it (opened up the line this season), I rode up Harmony with you just after you had opened up staggerhome for the season - "Stan Rey would hit it" :). On H3 I scooched down one of the upper entrances, which surprisingly was easier with the low snow conditions. Doubt I'll get a snowboard wildcard invite to FWT anytime soon!
Haha that’s amazing. Skiing and snowboarding is so fun cause no matter how good you get there are always ways to scare and challenge yourself! Keep on shredding!👊🏼
I recently stumbled on your channel, I was watching the FWT and thought wait a min.... I know this guy from somewhere haha. super cool to see your line/riding style. big props.
Conditions play a huge role. Cornice size, moguls, glare ice, avy debris, rocks, visibility. Scope it out from the bottom first, unless you want to visit Whistler Health Center, Lions Gate Hospital, or VGH.
Agree with Stan's list although I might switch 6 and 7. Both are pretty easy/similar in difficulty though. The tough ones are 3, 5, and to a lesser extent, 4. Agree 100% with 3 being tougher than 5. 5 gets the hype but you can always get in without too much trouble. Standing above 3 trying to find a spot to drop can be pretty spooky.
