Dear Sophie , thank you so much for creating these entertaining videos for us, you don't know how much I love watching ur videos and how much of an inspiration you are to me
Well ya earned a sub. 1 of your short vids popped up. Then clicked to watch some of your other vids. Seeing how you're such an inspiration to the younger gymnasts is pretty admirable but with your personality it's understandable!! 😁 Keep your passion going!!
Hi Sophia! I can't believe I've been awaiting your new video. After your big drama last time, I thought you needed a vacation. Your challenges are always so enjoyable to watch, even when you're visualizing or meditating or something. Can't wait to see more flips!😉😆😜😽
🤣🤣”after your big drama” I love that 😂👏👏 thanks so much for this comment, so happy to have you here!! Coachella and traveling got me a bit off schedule😅🙈LOL.. I hope you have an incredible Sunday!!
Yay these 10 minute long learn a new skill videos you do are my favorite gymnastics videos on RU-vid! It’s crazy how fast you learn these crazy skills! Were your abs super sore the next day? How cool you’re in Colorado, that’s where I live 💜💜 xoxo
Aww woww!! 😍 I’m so happy you like them! I have so much fun making them!! 🩷🩷 thank you so much, years of gym helps with body awareness for the new skills haha. And where in Colorado?! We’re CO buddies!!!💯🤗
Your videos are so fun to watch! ❤ 1972 Olympic AA gold medallist Ludmilla Tourischeva's coach (1960s Olympic bars gold medallist Polina Astakhova) is also right there to pull out the springboard as Ludmilla gets into the skill. 😎
wow baby Tourischeva was a warrior that woman was built like a tank in all meanings of the word, mentally, physically you choose: "grips? what's grips? i don't need this sh** whatever it is!" that's probably what she would've said back in her day lol. i will never forget that video from when the bar collapse while she was dismounting and she just finished her dismount, presented to the judges and left the podium all while the bars came apart behind her and she didn't even look back to see what had happened to the bars, all like: "i'm a professional i've come here for business, my job was completed successfully so the bars and what happens to it after i'm off of it is none of my concern" she was a boss! everybody remembers Olga Korbut for her performance in the 72' Olympics but let's not forget that in the all around comp while Korbut was having her "little girl" moment and falling apart making silly mistakes, who was the boss who kept the house together and her mind on the deal to bring back gold for mother Russia? Exactly, Tourischeva!
Woww! I have never seen that video and would love to find it… what an insane story! I can feel the strength she held just by your description of it.. wild!!!! 😱 thanks so much for sharing, I’m inspired.
Your guilty pleasure 😂😂👏 that’s so funny! For handstands I’d recommend many presses against the wall! And thinking of bringing your feet towards your ears as you straddle! (Instead of kicking out, you pull them towards you so that your weight stays over the bar!)
@@sophiacampanagymnast it was Quite hard actually but now I can’t go without them!! I’m still in shock tho that u commented lol ur SUCH A GOOD GYMNAST i hope I can be as good as u one day🤪
Hi Sophia! You probably won’t see this but I’m a really big fan. I came up a with a huge bar combination but I would never be brave enough to do it. I thought you would be a perfect person to try it so here it is; Bail or shoot over to reverse grip into a forward giant then yaiger (Idk if that’s how u spell it) in what ever position needed (pike straddle etc)
Hi Lucyyyy! (If your name is the same as your username🤣) this idea is actually so cool! It is insanity as well HAHA. Maybe I can play with just the bail landing in reverse grip- even though bails already freak me out catching normally 😂😂😂 what an awesome idea, you rock! Thanks!!🩷🩷🩷
Before I got grips I didn’t get what ppl meant when they said I can’t do anything without grips and a few weeks ago I forgot my grips and I now get it I really can’t do anything without grips
I think up to level 5 or so, it's not necessary, but once you start swinging giants, clear hips that kind of thing you should start getting familiar with grips. Even in 5 though they are getting clear hips and doing tap swings. My gym starts grips at level 4
Hah, yes our coach started teaching all of us Tkachevs and Shushunova’s as L8’s. We definitely weren’t ready technique -wise looking back, but sure had a lot of fun!
What is your favorite event? I personally love bars because I have a more aggressive approach with most skills and bars really lets me slow down and feel the rhythm.
Wow I can totally relate! I use to go all aggression/strength on bars when I was littler and didn’t understand how the bars bounce, and it was way harder 😂 now that I understand the rhythm like you’re saying, I feel that “entering the flow”. I think that may be why I like it so much too! Love the way you described that. I honestly love all events personally. Floor dance is fun, and tumbling. Sticking beam skills - also super satisfying 😂 hahah!
So I got my grips as a level 8, I was 11 years old! So I had already learned giants, swing changes, etc without them. I do remember it being a bit of an uncomfortable and tough learning curve after getting them, but I kept all my skills so not too bad!
