Where a level ends up in difficulty, depends on the clear-rate (and other small factors, only Nintendo knows). And a clear to change the clear-rate can only be made in single player-mode. So doesn't matter if you clear it in multiplayer and "cheat" the level, doesn't count as a "real" clear.
@@alvarsvensson People say that, but I donno... why would that even matter? If I do 1000 re-tries to upload, exit the upload to edit mode, either I change something or not, try to upload again and make it on 1st try! Does it count as me trying 1 time, or 1001? Other than the clear-rate, it's all guessing. But I know there's something else, a higher clear-rate can be in Expert mode, and a lower clear-rate in Normal mode. For SOME reason, it does that, but it's all speculation. Nintendo don't share that info.
Watching this felt like the mario maker equivalent to those youtube shorts that are just someone reading reddit showerthoughts over subway surfer gameplay and i am living for this side of desbugs delicious brain
This video came at the perfect time, I wasn't feeling good and got home and I saw this video and got into my nice warm bed and watched this. Thank you, desbug, you made my headache feel better
races are always easier in coop - im used to coop so when i went to versus and matched in my first real 4vs race it was a shock how fast ppl really were
lol it's prob bc they practice. I've been playing vs for 2 years on and off and I'm currently at 6269 points, and it takes a bit to know all the tricks that make ya go faster
This is exactly what I thought when I first played versus, and I could never win a single 4-lane level, but as I played more and more I started to learn how to get the precise jumps and save as much time as possible. I'm now in pink S+ and can easily win the 4-lane levels, unless I'm playing against people with over 7k because they are WAY too good at the game
@@imabirdielmao Yea for me, I used to play versus all the time, and I got to the point where I was very skilled and had great mechanics but could never win a 4 lane level. I would also do so well in all the others, and then in the 4 lanes I would go as fast as possible but everyone else would always be at the finish somehow. Even still when I play, this happens to me. It’s almost like I’m playing against AI when it’s a 4 lane. Luckily, I think I did win a few recently. Cheers
3:15 i also saw that every goomba video, my favourites were Galoomba goomfrey goombella (of course) and i forgot some but theres deffinitely more favourites
I have nothing funny. I have nothing of value. I haven't even watched the entire video. However, imma give my boy Desbug some of that "RU-vid Engagement."
While I was minding my business, I told Siri to put on some of your videos, and while two ads were playing back to back, minutes long, suddenly “🎵 Fighting Gold🎵” came to my head and I was wondering where it came from, then when I skip the ads, The first level title literally reminded me where it came from.
The game initialy chooses the levels difficulty based on the creators death count and then adjusts the difficulty based on the levels clear rate (which only takes single player into account)
The level's difficulty depends entirely on clear rate. So multiplayer lane levels often end up in Easy since there is no way to die in those. Clear rate is calculated only on singleplayer data, multiplayer data is not used for the purpose of anything really. Mario Maker heavily favours Singleplayer and that is the primary way of playing the game. As for the level algorithm in Multiplayer VS, it is obvious that levels with 'Multiplayer Versus' tag show up often. But there are also levels that don't have that tag, these are often determined from player feedback at the end of the level. If you 'Boo' a level, it reduces its chance of showing up, if you 'Like' a level, it increases its chance of showing up again, 'Meh' does nothing. This of course means that there is chance you are playing a new level that have little to no data avaliable for, which are specially likely early on when SMM2 came out, but if you see a level multiple times, it is often due to players liking that level.
