Guys I've seen skillet live about 8 times, every time they do this song, it sounds the same... it's amazing and they're amazing live. No playback nothing. Pure talent.
They use backtracks for almost all their live shows! If you cant hear that there is a backtrack (especially Ms Coopers vocals) then you should do some homework. Amazing band and I love their music - I am not sold on all the live shows though
I've seen them at least 2 or 3 times and I agree they have so much talent! And I always loved it when they played the song at the end of their concerts
I love how cool everyone looks while performing this song from Jen, John, Korey, Seth, Chu and Tate. Everyone does their rolled perfectly. Also I am a huge Jen fan(like I think she is the biggest hidden gem and has the best voice in the whole music industry) but i am so happy they didn't even consider letting Jen do Korey's singing parts.
+TeroBassed DVD does not mean that it's a playback. There are many band DVDs where they played with no playback sounds at all and you can literally hear that they recorded it there (longer solos, changed text and so on), to make that twice would be very difficult. This COULD be a playback because their drummer and their lead guitar played some things you couldn't hear and you heard some things they haven't played.
Is not playback, at least not in his normal conception, the sound is the sound in their live perfomances, that's how they sound in the concert, the problem is the edition of the video, putting different images from differents camera's and maybe even different presentations, may produce the effect of delay and disttortion on the sound. But they used playback in the chorus of some song but is complete different from the normal voice, so is complete easy to see when he is singing and when is a pre-recorded. They used playback, yes; it is affect or make better their presentation because of the playback sound, i dont think so. The best part of the skillet live perfomances is the fact that they actually sound like that without the playback.
@@Renzo8375867 he played an open string and letting it ring there. In the 2nd chorus when he doesnt play, you dont hear bass at all, and you hear him coming back in when he starts playing again.
I love this song the best and it's my favorite song, they kick crack in the morning and freaking kick crack in the morning and taking names in the evening.
Damn good when a band sounds as good live as when they do in the studio. Very good, I grew up in the 90's and we had the best rock but this stuff is pretty good. Even for this old man
man im from zimbabwe .now rock music rocks my world because of skillet . i listen to it now its awesome is rcok music still awesome like this or it has gone to shit
Honestly, who cares if they use prerecorded vocals? I know for a fact they have them on Jen's parts in Hero, and on John in the chorus of Awake and Alive (for this tour anyways). I saw them last Monday, and I have to say, it really enhanced the show. Korey is also prerecorded on rebirthing too, but it sounds amazing when you're actually there. Don't hate on a band just because they're wanting to make their live experience better for the fans that attend. That is all. SKILLET RULES!
