This wa the song John wrote for his father because he had a hard relationship with his dad. You can hear John's suffering while he's singing. Everytime I hear this song,I just want to cry. I used this song for a project at school and the whole class were crying,even my teacher. Also,this reminds me of the failed relationship between Light and his father from the Death Note Drama series because it was like this.

I found Skillet while going through a Faith Based Program in prison here in Texas. I do connect with everything they sing about. If not for their music and Pastor James Reed, I wouldn't have made the changes I've made in my life to be who I am today! THANK YOU SKILLET!

I don't think they're religious in a moralistic, judgmental or dogmatic way. They're intensely spiritual, which is very uplifting, all about hope & forgiveness & finding strength in some force greater than ourselves.

I was at a Skillet concert and they wanted to sing this song, and John couldn't remmeber the lyrics, so he asked the crowd to sing it, and he did his best to lipsync to us, and when he failed he just shouted "I AM A PEANUT" . It was soooo cool

So nostalgic Reminds me of growing up in this childrens home called “Sunshine acres “ was a Christian home I went to when my mom was on drugs Spent a good part of my life there and made a lot of memories with kids I was close with …..I don’t even know where their at now Im an adult now ……this music (Christian rock ) brings so much emotion back …times back then were simplistic and better than now….

This song really touches me,for some reason it just makes me feel very happy.I suffer from anxiety problems,I just get so nervous and afraid over so many things and I can barely make friends because I'm so nervous when trying to meet them.....this song makes me feel better when I'm very upset about these problems.

I agree. Skillet has honestly helped me through so much, they're absolutely amazing, I love them and all of their songs. They all have a beautiful meaning behind them. Their lyrics are beautiful. They have never changed their song which is amazing.

My Father was never abusive but I was more of a pet coming and seeing me here and there and getting me stuff. As he has gotten older he has changed so much and we grew closer. He is currently homeless and I'm not able to do much to help and it really breaks me, but this song reminds me so much of how much I wanted to cry to my Daddy and just tell him how I felt.

They weren't really heated arguments most of the time, but they were constant. We had this last fight the other day, and I don't think we'll be talking anymore. She said she just needed space. I really like her, and our friendship means the world to me. This is my favorite song, because I can relate entirely. Skillet is my favorite band ever, because I can relate to a lot of their songs.

I just saw Skillet in concert October 29th at Liberty University and man did they rock the roof off of the place !!!! I have been listening to them since the late 90's and they CAN STILL ROCK with the best of them !!! Peace to all the panheads out there !!!

I like this song. It goes perfectly with the video. I don't know all the lyrics, but the song and lyrics just show that no matter how old you are, you can still get over the hard things and be yourself.
